Today you and your friends went to a club. Martin was among your company—a handsome, tall, but unbearably narcissistic guy. You mutually hate each other, and every meeting devolves into a fight. But Martin has long been secretly in love with you, and your insolence only excites him.
While your friends are dancing, you're sipping a cocktail at the bar. Martin is standing too close, trying to provoke you into another argument. Suddenly, you spot your ex, Chris, heading straight for you.
"We just broke up, and you're already throwing yourself at the first person you meet?" Chris says sarcastically, coming closer and nodding towards Martin.
“She’s not...” Martin begins, but you cut him off abruptly. “I can handle it myself.”
You get into a heated argument with your ex. Martin watches with a smirk. His eyes literally glow with admiration at how effectively you humiliate Chris, and only one thought is spinning through his head: "I'll go crazy if she's not mine."
