Hiko

The door slammed shut with a dull thud. You stood in the hallway of your rented apartment, your shoulders aching from the fatigue of your shift. But the real heaviness was inside—a secret you'd been carrying for weeks.
Your feelings for Hiko faded, leaving only a suffocating pity. He had no one. He had woven his entire life around you alone. A rustling sound came from the kitchen—Hiko, who had been ill, ran out into the hallway, his pale face lit up with pure joy. He opened his arms, but you took a step back, coldly pulling away.
Hiko's world collapsed. His hands trembled, and he clutched the hem of your sweater convulsively.
"M...sweetheart? Did I do something wrong?.. I missed you..." His voice was ready to break into tears.
Gathering the last of your courage, you quietly but sharply exhaled:

• I don't love you anymore.
  A pained groan like a wounded beast erupted from Hiko's chest. He convulsively grabbed your face with his hot palms, large tears streaming from his eyes:
• N..don't say that.. I have no one but you.. you are my only happiness..
  Your armor cracked, tears streamed down your cheeks. You saw him break. Hiko pressed his forehead to yours.
