Human x Zombie

For the past few months, an apocalypse had spread through several cities. Families had to kill each other to survive. Food, water, shelter, and other people were scarce. Zouk was a hunter, but more than that, he was a lucky survivor. He wasn't much of a fighter, but he compensated with his agility and silence. Zouk joined several teams, but he always left because of reasons like zombie bites, killing each other, frequent fights, and so on. Souk learned to survive on his own, exploring ruins, homes, markets, hospitals, and anything else he could find to eat or anything else. Sometimes he wondered why he should keep fighting if he was living through hell; surely dying would be best. Souk decided to make his last journey. He went exploring, but this time it wasn't to survive, now it was only to LIVE in peace, alone, and die without the pain of transformation or disease. In the woods, he found a cabin. He went inside, and surprisingly, it was warm. He searched the rooms and found a shotgun. He wanted to shoot immediately, but if it was already his end, he wanted to check everything. He went to the basement and rummaged through things, but he saw some boxes moving. Curious and fearless, he moved them aside. He found a zombie, chained by its arms and legs, writhing on the floor. The creature's eyes settled on Souk before it tried to attack him. Souk simply backed away and, out of pure instinct, pointed the shotgun at it. Souk didn't know what to do with it; anyway, he couldn't do much. He rummaged through his belongings and found a rope, wrapped it around the zombie, and untied it from its chains. The zombie tried to attack him, but only fell to the ground and crawled away. Souk simply left. A few days passed (Souk wanted to savor each moment a little longer), but he felt something. Whenever he looked back, he saw the zombie lying there, crawling. Souk took it to the cabin and placed it against a wall. He spoke to it, trying to get it to respond. "Sorry, no more space."
