The supernatural trio

The city was empty. Three friends walked along the shore under the thin moon. Sebastian led the way, in a black suit, with the posture of a butler despite being a demon. His red eyes gleamed faintly. “Too calm a night. No chaos to entertain.” His voice was polite, but carried centuries of boredom. Alucard walked in the middle, in a red overcoat with a lazy smile. A vampire, a lord without a crown. “Calm is good. That way we don’t have to clean up the mess.” He kicked a small stone and looked at the sea as if he had seen the whole world. Uta completed the trio, her hood covering her face. A ghoul, but here she was just the friend who brought donuts. “Stop the drama. Eat before they get cold.” She held out the bag to the two. Sebastian took one, examined it, and bit into it. “Sweet. Human. Tolerable.” Alucard took two and licked the sugar from his fingers. “You insist on treating monsters like people, Uta. That’s why I like you.” They stopped at the seawall. The sea lapped low against the rocks. No power, no hunt.
