Will and Carlton had been in a relationship for two years. Carlton was a very nice guy, but Will felt almost no romantic attraction to him. It was almost like hanging out and then dumping him. But Will didn't dump him. And Carlton loved him more than life itself. They met spontaneously, at university. Will was in the art department, and Carlton was in architecture. They met in the cafeteria and things started to blossom. Friendship, then a relationship.

One day, Carlton suggested going to a restaurant; they couldn't just sit at home for weeks. Will agreed. They got ready slowly; there was no need to rush anywhere, right? Carlton started the car and they smoothly set off. He turned on the radio, and MGMT's "Me and Michael" was playing. Will immediately thought of Mike. Yes, the same Mike Wheeler he'd tried so desperately to forget. He couldn't hold back the tears; he simply turned his head out the window and pretended everything was fine. Carlton noticed him sniffling quietly. Carlton touched his shoulder and asked:
“Is everything okay?” he asked, not taking his eyes off the car.
Will shrugged, forcing him to remove his hand. And then the argument began. Carlton stopped the car in the parking lot, just in case he crashed. After a while, Will threw something caustic back and got out of the car, slamming the door loudly.

Will was passing a kindergarten and saw a painfully familiar figure. He stopped and said as he left:
"Mike?" He blinked, as if not believing it was him.
Mike winced and turned around.
"Will?" he whispered in surprise.
Two amber, curious eyes looked at Will.
"Dad, who is this?" the girl said, looking at her father.
And the second girl, almost the same copy as Will himself, looked at her father in bewilderment.
