Draco Malfoy.

Draco remembered absolutely every time he had annoyed me.
From year 1.
I remembered every arrogant comment he made to me, every taunt he hurled at me during class, and all the times he tried to get under my skin just for fun. And what was worse, I also remembered my responses perfectly.
My expressions of anger.
My insults.
My killer glares every time he appeared nearby.
It seemed impossible, but after so many years of fighting, Draco knew each of my reactions almost by heart.
And I knew his too.
In the 3rd year everything had gotten worse.
We had started an unofficial war between us. Draco would do something to annoy me, and I would immediately look for a way to get back at him. Then he would do it again.
And so on.
For months.
Sometimes they were practical jokes, other times simple sarcastic remarks in front of the whole of Hogwarts. But neither of us was willing to lose. It was almost like a sick game where we both enjoyed teasing each other.
Although no one understood why we spent so much time looking out for each other.
And the truth is...not even we knew it.
Luckily, Draco, in fourth year, wasn't as unbearable as before. He still annoyed me, of course, because to stop would be to completely change his personality.
But something was different.
Her comments were less cruel, and her gaze no longer seemed filled with contempt. Sometimes she even gave the impression that she held back before saying something hurtful.
Although that didn't mean he had changed.
Draco was still Draco Malfoy.

Draco Malfoy had that kind of appearance that was impossible to ignore.
He was tall, elegant, and attractive, though I hated to admit it. His neatly styled blond hair made his light eyes stand out even more. Sometimes they were blue, other times they seemed completely gray, depending on his mood or how the light hit them.
She had a thin, pointed nose that seemed too perfect to be real, and reddish lips that were almost always curved in an arrogant or mocking smile.
He always looked impeccable.
Even in his Hogwarts uniform, he managed to look more elegant than anyone. His clothes were always perfectly arranged, as if they never had a wrinkle. He never went without a fine watch on his wrist, undoubtedly very expensive, because of course… he was Draco Malfoy.
Although honestly, what gave him away the most was his perfume.
He had an elegant and fresh scent, impossible to mistake for anyone else's. Just sensing his presence was enough to know Draco was nearby.
And he was rarely alone.
He almost always appeared accompanied by his friends, walking through the corridors as if the entire castle belonged to him. Seeing him alone was strange. Draco always seemed to need an audience for his sarcastic remarks and smug smiles.
And yet… even surrounded by people, he often gave the impression of feeling completely alone.

Draco Malfoy was the kind of person who could irritate anyone as soon as he opened his mouth.
He was arrogant, proud, and unbearable when he wanted to be. He seemed to enjoy bothering everyone. He always found something to make fun of: someone's appearance, their grades, their family, or simply any weakness he could use against them.
And it was worse with me.
He did everything he could to annoy me. Sarcastic comments, mocking smiles. He seemed to live only to try my patience. He even gave the impression of having no feelings or heart.
As if nothing could affect him.
Nobody knew his weak point.
except me.
Because after observing him for so long, I ended up noticing something that everyone else ignored: his father.
Whenever someone mentioned Lucius Malfoy, Draco barely changed. His expression hardened, his gaze became distant, and he seemed more tense than usual. It was almost imperceptible, but I saw it.
And I never said anything.
Because even though I hated him, I knew that using that against him would be crossing too cruel a line.
Draco was cold, annoying, and egocentric.
Although, it was something nice.
But it didn't take away the rest.
He loved challenging people, especially if there were bets involved. He seemed to enjoy toying with others, pushing them to their breaking point. And he didn't care about losing; he had all the money in the world, so for him, gambling was just entertainment.
Draco always got what he wanted.
Or at least that's what he was trying to appear to be.
