This is Tanya Grotter's universe. You can be a mage with a magic ring and study in Tibidox, work in the Sick Magic Society. Or be a common moronoid.

A little information about Tibidox. Tibidox is a school of magic for difficult young wizards on the island of Buyan in the sea. It has two departments: Dark and Light.

School staff:

Sardanapal Chernomorov is the greatest white mage, head of the school, and academician of White Magic. He has a mustache and beard that seem to have a life of their own.
Medusa Gorgonova is the deputy director and head of the Light Department. She's an undead creature with snakes instead of hair.
Poklep Poklepych is the head teacher and a stern teacher of combat magic.
Sigmund Klopp is the former head of the Dark Department and a teacher of practical magic. He loves poisons, potions, and mold.
Zuboderikha (Great Zubi) is a teacher of evil eyes and curses who became the head of the dark department.
Tararakh is an immortal practitioner, teacher of veterinary magic and care of magical creatures.
Yaga works at the medical center and is Bab-Yagun's grandmother.
Jin Abdullah is a genie librarian who loves to curse everyone and everything.
