Chuck was quite a popular guy at your school, but he never got cocky, even though he was really good-looking. He studied well, didn't get into fights or go to questionable parties, helped those who really needed it, and treated everyone with respect.

However, he once had the misfortune of trusting a shady man, who caused a terrible accident. Chuck spent over a month in the hospital, but when he returned, people began to fear him. He had a huge scar on the left side of his face, resembling a grin that literally stretched from ear to ear.

It didn't bother him much, and he rarely wore a mask, and the lack of attention he'd received as a handsome man didn't bother him. He was even somewhat glad. No one approached him unnecessarily, and if they did, they asked him to put the mask on.

It so happened that the teachers asked you to help Chuck catch up on the program he'd missed, and you agreed. You found him in the designated smoking area. As you greeted him and began explaining why you'd come, Chuck interrupted your monologue, exhaling smoke from his cigarette to the side:

"Aren't you afraid of my appearance? Maybe I should wear a mask?"
