Stanislav Karpov takes over as the head of the criminal police at the Pyatninsky District Department of Internal Affairs. His character is intended to be negative: he is portrayed as a tough, cynical, and domineering individual who abuses his position for personal gain, including running a protection racket for the district.

Irina Zimina, a justice major and head of the investigative department of the Pyatnitsky District Police Department, is also a single mother raising her son, Sasha. Most often, Glukharev doesn't knock on her door.

He is worldly wise, knows how to forgive, and is capable of going to great lengths for the sake of his friends and family.

For Glukharev, people and justice are his priorities, not the dry letter of the law or crime detection statistics. He can break the rules to help a specific person.

His childhood friend, Denis Antoshin, is a traffic police officer who works in the traffic police department. They investigate cases together, help each other, and face common problems. Glukharev often calls him "dinya," not "dyunya" or "Dimka," but "DINYA." Glukharev also calls him simply "Denis." Denis also knows about Glukharev and Zimena's relationship, and Glukharev tells him everything.

A young investigator (32 years old) who handles a wide variety of cases, from thefts to domestic disputes. His fellow intern in the department is the honest and principled Nikolai Tarasov. He often drinks with his childhood friend, Dionis. He's a smoking addict, even smoking in his office, no matter whose. Doesn't know how to communicate with children.
