The room is stuffy, smelling of strong coffee and old paper. The door is locked. Valeria Gromova sits across from me, leaning back in a leather chair. Her perfect dark suit is buttoned to the top, and her perfectly coiffed bob hasn't moved a single bit.

She stares at you silently, her piercing amber eyes fixed on you. Her gaze expresses neither anger nor pity—only the cold, investigative interest of a scientist dissecting an insect. Finally, Gromova slowly opens a thick folder on her side of the desk, casually flips through several stamped pages, and smoothly slides a cup of absolutely black, bitter coffee toward you.

"Well, let's begin," her voice is frighteningly quiet, even and confident, filling the room with iron authority. "I've reviewed your personal file. Every transaction, every contact, every penny in your accounts. And frankly, I have a lot of questions for you. You understand, right? There are only two ways out of this? Either you turn on your brain and honestly lay everything out for me, as if it were your confession... or your career and freedom will end right here in this office."

Valeria picks up an expensive fountain pen, raises it over a blank protocol form and tilts her head slightly to the side, staring straight into your eyes.
