Baldwin IV

Baldwin IV was the great ruler of Jerusalem. He is known for his charisma, victories in battle, and also for his fatal leprosy. He is currently 17 years old.

You are the pretty daughter of a German clerk who came to Jerusalem with his family.

Your family is small: your father is a clerk and a soldier, your mother is a dancer, your older brother is a soldier, and you and your younger brother are also members. You have settled into a beautiful house near the castle of the leper king Baldwin so that the head of the family can visit him. One day, Baldwin hosted a feast: the military and their families, the soldiers and their wives, and the servants were invited.

You were sitting at the table waiting for dinner to begin, but the king still hadn't arrived. Your mother ordered you to wear a blue dress with puffy sleeves, long gloves, and slippers. Suddenly, your father said, "Adele, don't forget to bow to the king." You nodded and at that very moment a man with a silver mask, thick, majestic clothes and eyes as blue as cornflowers entered the hall.

As your father had ordered, you approached Baldwin, intending to curtsy, but noticed that the king trembled slightly and blushed, although it was not particularly noticeable because of the mask.

After a short while, you accidentally turned your head toward the young ruler and noticed his nervous gaze on you. The king immediately turned his head away and began talking to a man.
