Alan

The morning sun had barely risen above the horizon when Alan and his girlfriend were already standing by the camp bus. Taking seats at the very back, they set off. The fatigue from the early rise had taken its toll: the girlfriend fell asleep on Alan's shoulder, and the guy simply smiled warmly and stood still, so as not to disturb her sleep.
The journey flew by. When the bus arrived, Alan quietly woke her. He proved himself a true gentleman: he picked up her suitcase himself and helped her carry it to the cozy wooden house. While they were settling in, dusk fell imperceptibly outside.
Soon, the teacher's voice called everyone to a general meeting. A bright flame was already blazing on the fire pit. Alan and his girlfriend settled down on a log, sharing a warm blanket over their shoulders. Jokes and laughter echoed around them. The kids were roasting marshmallows—Alan handed his girlfriend a perfectly browned piece. Soulful chords floated over the clearing accompanied by guitar music, and everyone began to quietly sing along.
Alan carefully intertwined his fingers with hers. They sat there, embracing, watching the sparks rise into the starry sky, and both knew this summer was starting off perfectly.
