How it works
Nakime plays her biwa, and the castle obeys her. She can:

1. Move entire rooms to separate enemies or isolate fighters.
2. Create sudden drops and walls to split up groups.
3. Control gravity and orientation so you never know which way is “down”.
4. Summon demons instantly into any room.

When Muzan absorbed Nakime later in the fight, he took direct control of the castle himself and made it even more chaotic.

Why it matters
The Infinity Castle arc is the final battle zone for most of the Hashira vs Upper Moons fights. It's where:

• Shinobu fights Douma
• Giyu and Tanjiro fight Akaza
• Gyomei, Sanemi, Muichiro, Genya, and Mitsuri fight Kokushibo

The castle's shifting nature made those fights way harder, because you couldn't rely on positioning or backup.

In short: it's a reality-bending maze that serves as Muzan's fortress and a death trap for the Demon Slayers.

   - Nichirin blade with sunlight : Only Tanjiro's Hinokami Kagura and a sunlight-exposed blade could actually damage him permanently.

Muzan's fighting style is less about technique and more about overwhelming strength, speed, and regeneration. He doesn't need skill when he can just outlast and out-damage anyone.

• Directional air slashes : He can fire slashes through the air without moving his arms. They're fast, invisible, and come from unpredictable angles.

3. Blood Demon Art: Unlimited Flesh Transformation

• Multiple limbs : In his final form he grows 8-10 whipping arms, each with mouths that bite and rip flesh.
• 360° attack range : He creates a dome of slashes and whips around himself. There's almost no safe spot.
• Absorption : He can absorb other demons to increase his power instantly. He did this with Nakime to control the Infinity Castle.

Muzan Kibutsuji is the Demon King and the final antagonist of Demon Slayer. He's the origin of all demons.

Personality
Muzan is the worst kind of villain: egotistical, paranoid, and cruel for no reason.

• Extreme narcissist : He believes he's perfect and superior to every living being. He can't tolerate being criticized, corrected, or having someone be stronger than him. If you say something he doesn't like, he kills you.
• Paranoid and fearful : Everything he does comes from fear of dying. He became a demon to escape death and has been obsessed with avoiding it ever since. That's why he hunts for the Blue Spider Lily and wants Nezuko.
• Cruel for fun : He doesn't need a reason to kill. He murders his own demons if he gets bored, if they fail, or if he feels challenged. Akaza, Gyokko, and Gyutaro know this well.
• Manipulative : He doesn't get his hands dirty if he can avoid it. He uses the Upper Moons as disposable tools. He gives them power, but also puts curses on them in case they betray him.
• Zero empathy : He doesn't understand love, friendship, or sacrifice. To him, humans are livestock and demons are extensions of himself.

In short: he's the villain who's scary because he has no code, no honor, no limits. He's pure power with no morals.

Appearance
Muzan constantly changes form, but he has 3 main forms:

1. Elegant adult form

• His “public” form. Tall man, pale skin, long straight black hair.
• Purple/blue eyes, cold and empty stare.
• Wears luxury suits from the Meiji era. He poses like a millionaire to move around without suspicion.
• This is the form he uses to intimidate. He looks human, but something about his presence tells you to run.

2. Child form

• Appears as a 10-12 year old boy in a fancy suit.
• He uses it to manipulate and lower people's guard. No one suspects a child.
  -He still has the same terrifying aura even though he looks harmless.

3. Final form / True demon form
   -When he fights seriously, he transforms into.

Kokushibo's abilities come from his Blood Demon Art: Moon Breathing . He created it himself by modifying the Moon Breathing he learned from Yoriichi, and once it became demonic, it got broken.

Main Abilities

1. Moon Breathing – 16 Forms

• It's the only original breathing style created by a human that evolved into a Blood Demon Art.
• It has 16 forms, and all of them create crescent moon slashes that come from his blade.
• The slashes aren't just steel: they're made of his own sword's flesh, which is part of his body. That's why they can change direction and extend mid-air.

2. Flesh Sword Manipulation
-His katana isn't a separate object. It grows out of his arm and is made of demonic flesh with a blade edge.

• He can make extra blades grow, split it apart, extend it 10 meters, and attack from impossible angles.

• Calm and calculating : He doesn't yell or mock much. He speaks little, and when he does, it's direct and cutting. He analyzes his opponent in seconds.
• Ruthless toward the weak : He believes only the strong deserve to exist. If he sees potential in someone, he respects them. If not, he kills them without blinking.
• Buried regret : Deep down he hates what he became. When he fights the Hashira, he remembers his human life and feels disgusted for betraying everything out of fear of death.
• Swordsman's pride : Even as a demon, he still sees himself as a swordsman first. He respects pure sword techniques.

In short: he's the kind of villain who's scary because he never loses his head. He's discipline turned into hatred.

As a demon:

• Face : 6 eyes. 2 normal ones, and 4 more on his forehead and cheeks. All have slit pupils and the “Upper 1” kanji.
• Skin : Pale, with red markings like veins or cracks.
• Hair : Long, black, messy, reaching down to his waist.
• Body : Muscular and tall. She wears a black kimono with cloud patterns and a purple obi.
• Katana : His sword is part of him. It grows from its flesh and has crescent moon-shaped blades. It's an extension of his Blood Demon Art.

He basically took the Thunder Breathing he learned as a demon slayer, and Muzan mutated it when he turned him into a demon. It became faster and more destructive, but it lost the grace and control a human slayer has.

Main Abilities

1. Corrupted Thunder Breathing

• Keeps the base forms of Thunder Breathing: First Form, Second Form, etc.
• The difference is his attacks are now mixed with his demon flesh and blood. They come out like black/red lightning that looks rotten.

Personality
Kaigaku is straight-up scum, and it's intentional:

• Cowardly and envious : Even as a human he was jealous of Zenitsu. He always felt inferior, so he hated him for it. When things got dangerous, he was the first to run and save himself.
• Ambitious with no morals : He betrayed Gyomei and the other demon slayers to save himself from the Upper Moon. He became a demon out of fear of dying, not out of conviction.
• Arrogant toward the weak : He feels superior to anyone who isn't an Upper Moon. He mocks Zenitsu, calling him “coward” and “useless,” projecting his own self-hatred.
• Disloyal : Not to Kokushibo, not to Muzan, not to anyone. He only cares about himself.

In short: he's the kind of character you instantly hate. He's the direct contrast to Zenitsu, who's also scared but pushes through it for others.
