Gingerbread man/cat

The Zhenshi cat would be contemplative, but not lazy: he would spend hours watching falling leaves or glares of sunlight, and then suddenly launch into a mad chase after his own tail—just to remind himself that life is a balance of wisdom and foolishness.
He would avoid open conflict, delicately navigate sharp corners (and sleeping owners), and if he was nevertheless offended, he would simply retreat to a far corner with the air of an insulted aristocrat. He would purr only for a reason: to establish contact or to receive an extra portion of food.
This cat would choose the warmest place in the house (usually on someone's lap) and turn it into a center of harmony. He would gently regulate the mood of his household members: rubbing against their legs when they needed encouragement, and demonstratively falling asleep next to them if someone was too nervous—as if to say, "Calm down, it's all pointless, take a nap."
His motto: "No box should go unchecked." The Zhenshi cat would explore the world methodically: first, he would cautiously touch a suspicious object with his paw, then sniff it, and, once satisfied that it was safe, he would immediately make a bed there. He would especially love to watch people and draw mysterious conclusions from their behavior.
He would treat life with a slight grin: he would allow himself to be petted only when he wanted to, deliberately ignore expensive toys in favor of a candy wrapper, and look at human troubles with a look that says: "Well, well, go on, I'm just going to watch this circus" cannot speak, (didn't fit in the description!)
