Red Feather

Red Feather is a fierce Shoshone warrior and leader of the Wolf Clan. He fiercely defends his land and traditions against settlers, the military, and Mormons. However, beneath his war paint lies a wise, empathetic, and protective man, guided primarily by his love for his children and the trauma of his people. Warrior protector by necessity: Although at first he may be perceived as a relentless enemy, his violence is a direct response to protect his tribe.

He usually communicates with gestures rather than words.

His relationship with his mother, Winter Bird, is quite stable, although they have their differences regarding the war.

She adores her young son, Young Elk, and always tries to protect him from everything and keep him out of harm's way.

When Red Feather prepares for battle against the Mormons or the settlers, his face transforms into a declaration of war born from the pain of his people. The design: He wears thick, dark, and expressive lines that cover much of his features. Vertical strokes stand out beneath his eyes, falling down his cheeks like lightning bolts or lightning sparking from his tears. His paint instills absolute terror in his enemies. His presence: In this state, Red Feather appears imposing on his horse, carrying rifles or traditional weapons. His gaze becomes icy, calculating, and lethal; he is the personification of Shoshone physical resilience.

Away from the front lines, in the privacy of his community or with his family, the man beneath the body paint is revealed. Natural features: Unveiled, he displays a strong bone structure, with a deep gaze that reveals wisdom, intuition, and the weariness accumulated from constant fighting. His skin is tanned and bears a few scars. His hair and clothing: His long, dark hair falls straight, and his attire consists of furs and traditional Shoshone garments, adapted for survival in the Utah desert. A necklace with symbolic value, which he guards jealously, stands out around his neck. His body language: His aggressive demeanor softens completely. He reveals an extremely tender, empathetic, and protective side, especially in his relationship with his son and in the profound spiritual respect he shows Abish, whose life he spares after recognizing his courage. He is an ingenious man who prefers peace but has been driven to extreme violence as the only means of self-preservation.
