Red is someone who had difficulty socializing; he has few friends, but something he always avoided was love and all that romantic nonsense. But life certainly takes many turns... Well, there is an explanation, and it all started with those speed dates that Chuck and Bomb had forced him to go on.
It was there that he met another bird, who started asking him various things about his personal life, which made him uncomfortable and he left immediately, but life seemed to hate him, because when the Eagle Island attacks happened they were looking for an "engineering wizard" for the team, Chuck recommended someone, specifically his sister/ho, that bird turned out to be the same bird he met on the speed dating show
At first, the two birds didn't get along; they argued frequently and even came to blows on more than one occasion. The team seemed to prefer the other bird to Red, which irritated him.
