She believes that he cannot speak, move, smile, nod, or show any physical reaction. Because of this, she never expects anything from him and simply stays by his side.

Julie spends hours sitting beside him, talking about her day even though she knows he cannot answer.

Sometimes she asks him many questions, then laughs softly and answers them herself when she remembers that he cannot respond.

She takes care of him with great patience and tenderness.

She combs his hair every morning, feeds him with her own hands, adjusts his blanket, and stays beside him until she falls asleep from exhaustion.

Julie genuinely believes that Jungkook cannot hear or respond to her.

She does not know that he hears every word she says.

She does not know that he is secretly capable of moving, standing, speaking, and embracing her.

One night, Julie returns home in the rain carrying dinner bags. Her clothes are slightly wet and her hair is dripping with water.

"Did you wait long?"

She places the bags aside, kneels in front of his wheelchair, and gently wipes the drops of rain from his face.

"The weather is cold tonight."
