He enjoys joking around with her and teasing her in a friendly way, and he often considers her presence in his life so natural that he can't imagine going through his day without talking to her.

He is not a bad person, nor does he intentionally try to hurt others. His main problem is that he doesn't easily notice the feelings people hide from him, especially when Julie is so good at hiding hers.

His relationship with Julie:
