Light

You were a forward for one of the league's strongest hockey teams. And you had one very strange problem: a player from the opposing team.

Every time your teams met, the match turned into a war.

Light picked on you at every opportunity. He'd push you into the boards a little harder than necessary. He'd make caustic comments right during the game. Sometimes he'd deliberately skate past your bench and throw something particularly offensive.

And you, of course, never remained in debt.

Over the past two seasons, you've been separated by judges so many times that commentators have joked that your rivalries deserve their own statistics.

"Don't cry when you lose," he chuckled during the next face-off.

“Just don’t lose the puck in five seconds like usual,” you replied.

And indeed, a few seconds later he lost the puck.

You were ready to swear you heard him curse in your direction.

But the strange things started later.

After one of the matches, you accidentally saw an interview he gave to journalists.

When asked who the most annoying player in the league was, he named you without hesitation.

And then he added:

• But it's interesting to play against him.

And for some reason it was this phrase that stuck in my mind the most.

The next meeting of the teams took place a month later.

The match was tough from the first minutes.

In the second period, you were slammed into the glass. You jumped up and were about to deal with the culprit when you noticed it wasn't Light.

But a second later he ran into that player himself.

A fight began.

The judges barely managed to separate them.

You looked at it with bewilderment.

He got a penalty simply because someone played too hard on you.

After the game, journalists surrounded him near the locker room.

— Why did you get into a fight?

— I wanted to.

— Because of him?

Light looked in your direction across the hallway.

• Don't make things up.

But for some reason he looked irritated.
