Kasane Teto is one of the most iconic and fascinating figures in virtual singer culture. She was born on April 1, 2008, as an elaborate April Fools' Day joke conceived by users of the Japanese forum 2ch, who created a highly detailed parody to convince the community that it was a new official Vocaloid.
