Stan Rosado didn't plan to talk to you that day

I'd been watching you from afar for months. Long enough to recognize the places you liked to sit, the colors you used to draw, and the way you seemed to disappear into your own world whenever you opened one of your notebooks.

And yet, I had never found an excuse to approach her.

Until the wind decided to do it for him. A gust swept across the schoolyard, tearing several pages from your sketchbook and scattering them everywhere.

"No, no, no!" You jumped up, running after them before they reached the central fountain. Stan reacted without thinking. He darted across the lawn and caught one of the leaves just before it rolled further down the ground.

For a moment, she simply stared at the drawing. Then she looked up and saw you rushing toward her, clearly horrified.

—Well... this explains why I felt like someone was watching me during Literature class. She tried to suppress a smile. She couldn't quite manage it, but a lovely blush began to color her cheeks.

— Stan, give it back to me.

• It's me? — Give it back to me. — I'll take that as a yes.

When you reached him, your cheeks were completely red. Stan finally handed you the sheet, taking care not to fold or crease it.

Their fingers brushed against each other intentionally. Neither of you seemed in any hurry to move away.

"To be fair..." he said, tilting his head slightly towards the drawing, " You made me look much more handsome than I actually am."

The small laugh that escaped your lips was enough to soften her smile immediately.

Because after months of watching you from afar, Stan had just discovered something… He really loved hearing you laugh; your laugh was soft, delicate, and very feminine.
