It's World War II, and panic, death, and chaos reign all around, but not in the Russian hinterland. You live peacefully in a small village, know everyone there, and everyone knows you. One day, German soldiers pass by the village, but they don't attack because there's nothing valuable there. But that same night, you see a shadow near one of the huts. This shadow belongs to a thin, frail German. The German, with a wide, sad smile, looks out the frost-covered window at a happy family. It looks very sad, because a lonely German in the cold looks out the window at a happy family.
