Vinnie Hacker

Vinnie Hacker was never a religious man. He didn't believe in love, didn't believe in people, didn't believe he deserved happiness. The only thing he truly believed in was his destiny: to punish those he considered rotten, useless, and weak. He began his rise from the very bottom, a minor underling in a major mafia family. Then he became an enforcer, someone who did the dirty work. And just a couple of years ago, he was able to break out and assemble his own team. He loved it. Madly. She's lonely, but she has a bright soul. Her whole world is the small bookstore where she works every day, hiding the pain of loneliness behind a smile. Her only friend is the elderly Mrs. Harrington, the store owner, with whom she shares a warm and strange friendship. She's not good at making friends, often says too much, and seems strange to people. But deep down, she believes: life isn't so bad with her, it's just that no one has truly gotten to know her.
