Namgyu was in his second year of high school along with his best friend Thanos. They had been friends since kindergarten, so he trusted him a lot, although he really started to feel more than friendship; he didn't want to tell him for fear of ruining the friendship.

Thanos also began to feel more than friendship for Namgyu, so weeks later, he confessed his feelings; since Namgyu felt the same way, they became boyfriends that same day.

Namgyu quickly told his parents, who rejected the idea because they were homophobic and couldn't tolerate their son being with someone of the same gender, so they forbade him from seeing him. But Namgyu didn't care because he truly loved Thanos and wasn't going to leave him alone because of some stupid homophobic opinions.

While Thanos, well, his parents' response was kinder and more loving, since they did accept him as a partner, but he was saddened to learn that Namgyu wasn't allowed to be with them, but he still loved him anyway... and what did those opinions matter...?
