Tai Lung is the main antagonist of the film Kung Fu Panda. He was Master's adopted son and former student, as well as a powerful master of the leopard style of kung fu.

He is a snow leopard who was trained by Master Master, who adopted him when he was abandoned as a cub at the gates of the Jade Palace. Master believed that he was destined to become the legendary Dragon Warrior. However, Tai Lung revealed himself to possess a "dark heart" the moment he was denied the title he so desired, by Grandmaster Oogway. Blinded by anger, he ravaged the Valley of Peace and, as a result of his actions, was imprisoned in Ghorh-Gom Prison for twenty years, during which time his anger was mounting.

As a cub, Tai Lung was found by Master Master (who was a young adult by then), wrapped in purple cloth diapers on the threshold of the Jade Palace gates. Moved by compassion, Master decided to adopt the cub and raise it as his own, giving it the name Tai Lung (meaning "The Great Dragon") in the hope that it would become the Dragon Warrior foretold by the prophecy.

As a young man, Tai Lung showed talent in the art of Kung Fu and it became apparent that the puppy was quite a prodigy. Master became even more convinced that this was a sign that the leopard was the legendary warrior, and so he trained him in everything he knew.

Betrayal Master believed in him. He said he was destined for greatness. It was never enough for Tai Lung; he wanted the Dragon Scroll. But Oogway saw darkness in his heart and refused. Tigress narrating to Po the story of Tai Lung.

Over time, Tai Lung became proud and overconfident in the fact that he was going to become China's greatest warrior, considering that Tai Lung had mastered leopard-style kung fu, advanced techniques such as nervous breakdowns, as well as thousands of Kung Fu rolls at an impressively young age. Despite all his achievements, Tai Lung still sought the power of the Dragon Scroll and also firmly believed in the power of the Dragon Scroll.

Saddened, confused, and outraged, Tai Lung razed the Valley of Peace before charging into the Jade Palace to try to take the Dragon Scroll by force. Masters Oogway and Master were waiting for him in the Hall of Warriors, where the scroll was kept, and where Master confronted Tai Lung. However, Master was not able to hit Tai Lung, as he only saw the adorable puppy he adopted years ago.

Master was thrown out and ended up at the edge of the palace's large pool. Tai Lung jumped up to take the roll, but was stopped in his tracks by Master Oogway, who dug his fingers by pressing on multiple points on Tai Lung's chest, blocking his chi and knocking him unconscious.

There was no choice but to prevent such devastation from happening again. Shifu acceded to Oogway's wishes and helped oversee the construction of the imposing Chorh-Gom prison, located on the frigid outskirts of Mongolia. Carved into the mountain itself, the prison was built especially for Tai Lung: replete with passageways and traps, with a single entrance and exit for the entire prison. In the deepest part, Tai Lung was chained and subjected to a turtle shell that held him, with several acupuncture needles at key points on his back, blocking his chi, making it as difficult as possible for him to breathe and leaving him practically immobile.

Leaving him under the supervision of Commander Vachir and the Heaven's Anvil, Master and Oogway separated from Tai Lung, leaving him in prison as punishment for his crimes against the citizens of the Valley of Peace. [ 1 ]

In Kung Fu Panda The Prison Break Tail Lung Awakening Tai Lung's Awakening in Chorh-Gom Prison Twenty years later, Tai Lung's fury had only intensified. One fateful day, a messenger goose named Zeng arrived at Chorh-Gom Prison, bringing a message from Master to Commander Vachir: orders to double the guards and reinforce security due to a vision Oogway had of Tai Lung returning to the Valley of Peace.

Commander Vachir only boasted that he had everything under control and that escaping Chorh-Gom was impossible. He showed how the mighty snow leopard was "completely immobilized", going so far as to stomp on Tai Lung's tail and taunt him with the information that Oogway would eventually choose the Dragon Warrior and that it would not be Tai Lung. The arrogant rhino commander stepped on his tail to rub salt in the wound and all Tai Lung could do was stand still. Leaving him alone, Vachir and Zeng did not notice the molted feathers that had fallen out of Zeng when Vachir slapped him on the slap

Once the needles were removed, Tai Lung was able to move and breathe normally for the first time in two decades, breaking through the turtle shell. Freed, the Heavenly Anvil quickly spotted him and rushed to contain him with all his resources. Eight-point acupressure bracelets attached to the rocks still limited his movements, until he managed to destroy one of them with a crossbow arrow. Then, he broke the other, stopped the shot and fired another arrow. Realizing that he could use them to reach the elevator, Tai Lung shot four arrows into the mountain wall and used the fifth to jump over them. Swinging from one to the other, he managed to grab onto the elevator just before hundreds of arrows fell. Using it, he ascended and propelled himself with the chain to descend to the upper floors. Driven by an insatiable rage, Tai Lung unleashed his kung fu mastery and proceeded to brutally decimate the guards as he quickly ascended the levels, surpassing the rhinos in strength, agility, and skill. The battle culminated in a confrontation on the bridge, at the height of the gate.

In a last-ditch attempt to outwit Tai Lung, Vachir ordered the bridge destroyed by detonating explosives placed on the roof of the prison, causing large chunks of rock, the size of boulders, to crash into the walkway where Tai Lung stood. With mental quickness, Tai Lung sprang swiftly from rock to falling rock, until he reached the last package of explosives he had yet to detonate. He tossed it between the guards just as it exploded, slamming open the heavy doors and killing Commander Vachir and the remaining guards.

grabbing Zeng by the neck outside, Tai Lung politely told him to fly back to the Jade Palace with a message of his own: "The real Dragon Warrior is coming home." After releasing Zeng, he set off back to the Jade Palace, determined to exact revenge and gain the power of the Dragon Scroll that had long been denied him.

Battle against the Furious Five The battle between TailLung and the Tigress on the Tai Lung Bridge fighting her adoptive sister: Tigress on the Thread of Hope After speeding through China, Tai Lung arrived at the Thread of Hope, a rope bridge that served as the only passage through the Mountain Pass. There, he confronted the Furious Five, whom he recognized as Master's students (and who had left to stop Tai Lung on their own after learning of his escape), especially Tigress, who is a feline like him, as well as Master's adopted daughter and adoptive younger sister.

Following a brief attack in which Tigress deflected it, the bridge was cut and then held by the rest of the Furious Five as Tai Lung casually demanded to know where the Dragon Warrior was and laughed when an unbalanced Tigress leaned back and hinted that it was her. Tai Lung had heard rumors about the Dragon Warrior's appearance: that he had "fallen from the sky in a ball of fire" and that he was "a warrior like no other the world has ever seen." Mono unwittingly blurted out the Dragon Warrior's true identity: Po, and an intrigued Tai Lung declared that he would finally have a worthy opponent for a legendary battle.

This angered Tigress, who confronted him; however, as the fight progressed, she began to struggle against her more experienced predecessor, especially when Tai Lung used his superior strength, balance, and speed to kick her through the middle of the wooden bridge and then wrap the ropes around her neck, strangling her. Soon, Crane rescued Tigress and other members of the Furious Five joined until only Mantis was left to hold the bridge. In a one-on-one, they did not resist him for long; however, Tai Lung was overcome by the group's combined skill and teamwork for a moment, after Mantis threw the ropes to throw the charging snow leopard off balance. The Five then wrapped him with ropes from the remains of the bridge and, with Crane's help, Tigress pushed the subdued enemy and dropped him into the mist. However, the Furious Five's victory was short-lived, as Tai Lung managed to use what was left of the now-destroyed rope bridge to swing smoothly and free himself, landing behind the surprised team.

He congratulated them on what they had learned from Master, quite amazed by their efforts, but claimed that he had not taught them everything and proved that his attempt was futile. The snow leopard used his nerve attack technique, blocking the chi of everyone except the Crane, who stayed behind to transport the other four back to the Jade Palace as a warning: Tai Lung could defeat the five strongest warriors in the country and anyone who opposed him, including "Po".

By the time the Furious Five and Po had already evacuated the inhabitants of the Valley of Peace on Master's orders, Tai Lung arrived at the steps of the Jade Palace, where Master was waiting for him. The tense exchange between master and student began with a polite greeting from Tai Lung to Master, who coldly made it clear that the snow leopard was no longer welcome in the palace nor was he his teacher. Tai Lung then mockingly asked Master about Po's whereabouts, to which the kung fu master insisted that their fight should be only between them, as it should be.

Enraged, Tai Lung started the fight by jumping into the air and attempting to crush Master under his feet. He then proceeded to throw a piece of broken steps at Master, who had just dodged the previous attack, distracting him long enough for the snow leopard to send the kung fu master flying back to the Hall of Warriors with a punch. Bursting into the Hall, Tai Lung reprimanded the convalescent Master for his inability to defend him and for failing to support him when Master Oogway refused to bequeath him the title of Dragon Warrior, leading to him rotting in jail for 20 years. The snow leopard replied to Master's justification that obeying Master was not a weakness and that the fact that Tai Lung had not been chosen was not his fault, throwing relics and weapons nearby, all while shouting accusations that it was Master who had filled his head with dreams, Master who forced him to train until his bones were broken, and even after all that hard work, the kung fu master still denied him his destiny.

Master argued that it had never been his decision. Tai Lung found Oogway's empty staff and quickly deduced its meaning: with Oogway dead, Master was now in charge of the Dragon Scroll. He took the staff deliberately, provoking Master to attack him, and then pinned him down

Taking the fight to the pillars of the Palace, then bursting through the ceiling with lightning in the background, and back into the Hall, Tai Lung's attacks became more and more brutal, and Master was only able to take the lead for an instant. After throwing Master against one of the pillars as he himself crashed into a lantern, Tai Lung continued his attack with his paws on fire, demanding that Master tell him how proud he was of him. After beating his former master until he was unable to defend himself, Tai Lung finally threw him against the steps in front of the Moon Pond with a two-handed punch.

After extinguishing the flames in his paws, Tai Lung was about to finish off Master when the weakened kung fu master offered him a sincere and heartfelt apology, hoping that Tai Lung would abandon his quest for supreme power, which from the beginning did not belong to him, and redeem himself, claiming his own pride, as the snow leopard master had blinded him, preventing him from seeing what he had become, and his failure to prevent him from doing so until it was too late. Despite everything, a small part of Tai Lung still felt affection for their master. However, the snow leopard, after a moment's hesitation, bitterly discarded it, driven by an inordinate ambition for power. Once again, he demanded the Dragon Scroll as he lifted Master by the neck, furious to see that he was gone. Tai Lung proceeded to strangle the defiant Master, but was interrupted by Po, who, breathlessly, revealed the Scroll in his hands.

Incredulous, Tai Lung pushed Master away and charged when Po challenged him to "come get him". Tai Lung wasted no time and struck the Dragon Warrior, pushing him away and grabbing the scroll. To his surprise, Po bounced back and redirected his power towards him. He then ran and caught the fleeing panda, kneeling him to the roof of the palace. He knocked him down the thousand steps, they fell and exchanged blows, with Tai Lung hitting most of the steps and being subjected to Po's butt on his face. He battled Po for possession of the Dragon Scroll, only to be outgunned and outwit each turn in a series of obstacles that resembled a game. Because while he surpassed the fat warrior, he was taken by surprise by all the ingenuity of the Dragon Warrior. When the scroll landed on top of the roof, Tai Lung was frightened to see how athletic Po was and how close he was to him. After kicking the building hard, it began to collapse as he climbed up after the Dragon Scroll, receiving several tiles in his face. But Tai Lung took the lead by slamming Po into the ground with a kick in the air and then used the momentum of the fall and all his strength to create an explosion of dust and rocks, forming a crater. Momentarily defeating and stunning Po long enough allowed Tai Lung to grab the scroll and open it at last, only to find that it was blank. As the panda coughed and struggled to stand up, Po explained that there was no special power in the scroll itself, nor a "secret ingredient"; "It's just you."

Enraged and unable to comprehend the scroll's lesson, Tai Lung attempted to defeat Po once and for all. However, Tai Lung's punches and punches only tickled Po, due to the latter's less clear nerve pressure points. After being thrown into the noodle shop after being absorbed and redirected by Po's stomach. Once the panda unlocked new powers, he was again defeated in combat by the panda, although it is worth mentioning that he fought with more fury and lack of control than usual, even being tricked into biting his tail. After finding himself with equal strength and skill, Tai Lung began to lose his mind as this fat and inexperienced panda defeated him. Eventually, it fell from a great height, leaving a snow leopard-shaped hole upon landing.

In a last futile attempt to fight, a weakened Tai Lung was finally caught in the Wuxi Finger Hold key by Po. He tried to challenge Po by stating that Master would never have taught him such a technique, but was horrified when Po told him that he had simply discovered it himself. Po then executed the key, sending him to the Spirit Realm.

Tai Lung appeared at the beginning of the special as part of Mr. Ping's nightmare, where he appeared in giant size and fought Po, who commented that he believed Tai Lung was dead before being interrupted by Tai Lung hitting him with his paw. After a brief fight, Tai Lung was defeated once again when Po kicked him and sent him flying towards the horizon, exploding in a portal-like light upon impact.

In Legendary Warriors Windowslivewriterkungfupandalegendarywarriorswii-7ceacutscenes1-thumb Tai Lung seeks revenge Tai Lung was shown to have survived his battle against Po. To carry out his plan for revenge, he gathered several clans and gangs, including the Wu Sisters, to capture enough villagers to gain the energy needed to power his new weapon, which would grant him super strength. Po, Tigress, Shifu, and Monkey managed to defeat Tai Lung and his allies.

Although Tai Lung does not appear live in the series, he is shown in flashbacks and is mentioned on more than one occasion:

In "Revenge of the Rhinoceros", Tai Lung made a brief cameo during Hundun's flashback about the snow leopard's escape from Chorh-Gom prison.

At the end of "The Kung Fu Boy", it was revealed that Peng (a kung fu prodigy) was Tai Lung's nephew and that he had been looking for him far and wide, much to Po's surprise and horror.

In "The Master and the Panda", Peng discovered the truth about what had happened to Tai Lung and attacked Po, who tried to convince him that his uncle was a villain, but Peng branded him a liar. Peng was later corrupted by the Gong Lu Medallion and fought Po in a battle that mirrored Po's fight against Tai Lung. Po subsequently used a transformation stone to take the form of Tai Lung and convince Peng to remove the Gong Lu Medallion, succeeding. Peng stated that he was not like his uncle and that he did not want to be.

In Kung Fu Panda 2 Although he does not appear in the sequel, Tai Lung was briefly mentioned when Po was fitted with eight-point acupressure handcuffs, and Po pointed out that those same handcuffs had restrained Tai Lung in the past. He was also briefly seen in Po's memories during his flashback, when they were fighting at the end of the first film.

Although Tai Lung does not physically appear in the film, his fate is hinted at, as Wuxi's finger-grasping technique plays a pivotal role in the plot. At the beginning of the film, Po is seen playing with his action figures while bathing, one of which is a Tai Lung figure.

It was also revealed that mortals subjected to this spell are sent to the Spirit Realm. Additionally, Tai Lung can be seen as one of the amulets Kai wears on his waist, representing the kung fu masters of the Spirit Realm from whom Kai snatched their chi. Since Po defeated Kai and freed all the warriors under his control, he probably fought him and lost, and is now free in the Spirit Realm following Kai's defeat.

In The Dragon Knight as Po narrated his triumphant victories, Tai Lung briefly appeared in a flashback.

In Kung Fu Panda 4 Kung Fu Panda 4 Stills 02 Tai Lung's abilities and appearance are being copied by The Chameleon. Tai Lung had been residing in the Spirit Realm in meditation and self-reflection for years after the events of the first film. Eventually, he concluded that he was right, in that Po was "unworthy of Master Oogway's favor and unfit to wear the mantle of Dragon Warrior." [10] He returns to the mortal realm by summoning the Chameleon and is at first confused as to why he was summoned. Tai Lung notices the staff in the Chameleon's hands and quickly realizes that the Chameleon just wants to use it. Tai Lung becomes disillusioned and attempts to re-enter the portal, only for the Chameleon to close it and reveal his army of Komodo dragons, whom he orders to attack him.

Tai Lung defeats his army with ease, but The Chameleon disguises himself as a Komodo dragon to let his guard down and then infuses his mind, draining him of his strength and kung fu prowess. Weakened, Tai Lung tries to keep fighting, but El Cam

Later, Po infiltrates the Chameleon's lair and encounters the multitude of enemies he defeated, including Tai Lung, Lord Shen, and General Kai. Tai Lung calls him unworthy of Oogway's favor and reprimands him for losing his cane. Po promises to release him and the Kung Fu masters, and restore his strength, something Tai Lung considers an unfulfilled promise. However, Po and Zhen manage to defeat the Chameleon and successfully restore the strength and abilities of the Kung Fu masters. Tai Lung and the other masters approach Po, and he admits that maybe Oogway was right about him. Tai Lung finally shows respect to Po and even bows to him, leading the other masters to do the same. Po then opens a portal back to the Spirit Realm, allowing Tai Lung and the other masters to return home.

He takes The Chameleon with him to ensure that he does not cause trouble in the mortal world and to deal with the consequences of his actions. Before returning to the Spirit Realm, he recognizes Po as the Dragon Warrior and promises to see him again, thus redeeming himself.

As an adult, Tai Lung was dark, dangerous, and arrogant. However, in the past, when Master raised and trained him, he seemed like a cheerful and energetic puppy, with a lot of talent and dedication to the arts of kung fu, and his loving father and teacher considered him a prodigy. Over the years, Tai Lung became a strong and fierce warrior, having accomplished a lot as a student, even mastering the thousand scrolls of kung fu.

However, his ultimate goal was to become the Dragon Warrior and receive the Dragon Scroll, as he firmly believed that this was his destiny. However, the moment Master introduced him to Oogway, the old master indicated that Tai Lung was not the chosen one, much to his surprise. Waiting for Master to intercede for him, Tai Lung suffered a severe emotional blow when his master did not protest, which he interpreted as a betrayal. This double rejection revealed the darkness in Tai Lung's heart, manifested in unbridled fury as he attacked and devastated the Valley of Peace, and subsequently brutally pushed Master aside when he attempted to prevent him from taking the Dragon Scroll by force.

Tai Lung's pent-up fury and rage didn't fade, not even after spending twenty years in prison. However, while he was condescending and brutal to anyone who stood between him and the Dragon Scroll, it is possible that he had no intention of hurting anyone, as he was never seen to take a life (although he did nearly kill Master by strangling him). It was also revealed that he put a lot of effort into everything he did to make Master proud and was hesitant after hearing Master's sincere apology, although he hardened his heart because he still wanted the Dragon Scroll. Another example of his vulnerable side was shown when Tai Lung expressed clear fear and despair after finally being defeated by Po.

In short, Tai Lung is a tragic portrait of someone whose pride and ambitions led him to go haywire, violently lashing out at what didn't belong to him and harming anyone who stood in his way, including the person he wanted to please from the start. That person's words and actions led Tai Lung to become the worst version of himself. His ultimate downfall was due to his denial and underestimation of Po, as well as his inability to accept that the secret to true power lies within. Despite his ruthless and callous exterior, Tai Lung is naturally shy and insecure, so he never believed in himself and needed the Dragon Scroll to believe in himself; ironically, as long as he didn't believe in himself, he could never beat Po.

Many years after his defeat, Tai Lung still considers Po unworthy for having been chosen by Oogway as a Dragon Warrior, but he no longer covets the title for himself, proving that he has gotten rid of his obsession. Other than that, Tai Lung retains his pride, refusing to share his Kung Fu talents with anyone, especially when he quickly deduced that The Chameleon just wanted to use it. S

Tai Lung is an intimidating fighter willing to fight to the extreme, resourceful and unpredictable, having mastered all styles of kung fu. [2] Alongside Oogway, Kai, and Po, Tai Lung is practically the most skilled and dangerous kung fu master in existence, capable of vanquishing and annihilating all members of the Furious Five and even easily defeating his former master Shifu. Due to his physiology and a lifetime of training, Tai Lung also possesses immense physical strength and was able to punch his way through numerous armored opponents, as well as lift rocks weighing at least several tens of tons each and many other barriers. He was also recognized as the most exemplary and skilled kung fu prodigy since childhood, and the first student of the Jade Palace to master the thousand scrolls of kung fu, knowingly mastering all weapons, striking techniques, and forms of combat.

If Tai Lung's physical abilities had to be described in a single word, it would be "outstanding," and his fighting style, "skillfully fierce" and "relentless master." Every inch of his body is perfectly trained and perfected to superhuman perfection. These extraordinary, almost unmatched physical abilities and his relentlessly masterful warrior style were evident during his fight against the Furious Five, when he was able to hang from the bridge with only one leg or one arm. She also possesses incredible balance and agility, evidenced by her relaxed attitude when fighting Tigress at the top of the bridge; while the Kung Fu master struggled to maintain her posture and had to readjust, Tai Lung didn't require any effort. Coupled with his unmatched speed, brute strength, combat experience, skill and exemplary physiology, the feared Snow Leopard managed to defeat a thousand rhinoceros soldiers, quickly taking advantage of his

Like Master, he demonstrates an innate mastery of speed and was able to move at lightning speed over great distances without getting tired, so much so that he could suddenly appear in the blink of an eye. He is also capable of defying gravity to some extent, as demonstrated when he ran and jumped over huge stalactites as they fell into the air, though this is likely due to his advanced physical speed and sharp reflexes. He used his claws to climb structures and also seemed willing to use them to attack an enemy, as seen in his battle with Master. It also demonstrated the ability to contain blue fire on its bare paws and use it in combat, showing no visible signs of pain and demonstrating a high tolerance to it. One aspect of Tai Lung that is almost unmatched is his extensive knowledge of Kung Fu and his relentless determination and attitude. No one could surpass him in skill alone; Po needed to use his surroundings, and although he eventually defeated him, the Snow Leopard managed to immobilize the Dragon Warrior first. Tai Lung's endurance is also remarkable, as throughout the film he only participated in battles and managed to run from Chorh-Gom prison to the Valley of Peace in a matter of days. Even after suffering multiple injuries and surviving a 200-meter fall, he kept fighting. His tolerance for pain is also evidenced when Po knocks him down with multiple punches to the stomach, throwing him into buildings and bouncing him high enough to leave a leopard-shaped hole in the ground. He is also seen using chi in some moves, such as his super kick, which he used against Po. This demonstrates their limited ability to use chi's capabilities.

Among Tai Lung's signature moves is the nervous breakdown, which, ironically, was the same technique Oogway used to defeat him on his first attempt to steal the Dragon Scroll. Despite this, Tai Lung was able to use it to paralyze and defeat most of the Furious Five. He also had a signature double punch and a surprise kick, both of which were used several times in the first film. Unfortunately, the nervous breakdown proved useless against Po, who was only tickled due to his panda physiology.

Despite being an extremely fierce and aggressive fighter, Tai Lung could be patient before acting, as he managed to withstand years of captivity before discreetly finding a way to break free. He also took advantage of his opponent's weapons and other nearby objects, such as a rope, a stick, or even a feather, which he used to escape the bonds that held him for twenty years. In addition, he possessed a sword and threw the golden shield at Master during their duel.

Even after being heavily immobilized in prison for two decades, his exceptional combat skills and strength in Kung Fu had not deteriorated, mainly due to his mastery of the Chi control technique in the overall Kung Fu universe; Master could only surmise that he had become much more powerful. In addition to defeating all the rhino guards of Chorh-Gom Prison, he surpassed all of the Furious Five together and even Master. Tai Lung to Master during their battle

Tai Lung expected Master to intercede for him to Oogway, but he felt betrayed when Master didn't, causing the darkness in his heart to erupt. When the red panda tried to stop him from taking the Dragon Scroll, Tai Lung viciously attacked him without a second thought, even though Master had retracted out of love for his son. Years after these events, Master was severe and withdrawn with his new students, as a result of the emotional burden of Tai Lung's betrayal.

Meanwhile, Tai Lung's fury had intensified a hundredfold over the next twenty years he spent rotting in prison. When he escaped, he returned to the Jade Palace, where he confronted Master once more. This time, he tried to speak to him calmly, respectfully calling him "Master". However, Master grimly insisted that he was no longer their master and that they should fight. During the match, Tai Lung unleashed his anger and blamed Shifu for everything that had gone wrong in the past, from allowing Oogway's decision to prevail due to his "weakness" to instilling in him the ideals of becoming the Dragon Warrior.

At first, Master only fended off Tai Lung, but eventually counterattacked in fury when Tai Lung carelessly took Oogway's staff, declaring that Master might be the one to turn him into the Dragon Warrior. The battle became even fiercer and Tai Lung shouted that he had done everything he had done just to make Master proud, beating the red panda with fists of blue flames until he defeated him. Then, Master finally apologized, admitting that pride and love for Tai Lung had blinded him, preventing him from seeing his flaws and what Tai Lung had become. Tai Lung's fury faded and he hesitated, momentarily bewildered, finally realizing that Master still loved him.

Even so, Tai Lung finally hardened his heart and grabbed Master by the throat, growling that he didn't want an apology, but the Dragon Scroll, and demanded the master to reveal his location. Choking on Tai Lung's grasp, Master repeated that Tai Lung would never have the Dragon Scroll, and, furious, Tai Lung attempted to finish him off, but was interrupted by Po's arrival, whereupon he carelessly threw Master to the ground. Hope that the two would reconcile was shattered as a result of the battle, as it became clear that Tai Lung cared more about gaining power than the love of his teacher and father figure. [ 1 ]

Tai Lung was eventually defeated by Po, who sent him to the Spirit Realm. Although disappointed that his adopted son could not be redeemed, Master found peace in his defeat, finally freed from his guilt.

In Kung Fu Panda 4, years after his death, Tai Lung returned to the mortal world due to a forced summoning of the Chameleon. After being saved by Po, the snow leopard voluntarily returned to the Spirit Realm, but not before recognizing Po as the Dragon Warrior, indirectly forgiving Master for allowing Oogway to ignore him. Tai Lung to Po

He craved the opportunity to fight a "worthy opponent" and declared that his battle would be legendary.

Tai Lung was afraid to see the technique, but nervously thought that maybe Po was bluffing and that Master had never taught him the key. He was momentarily relieved when Po admitted it, until he added that he had discovered it himself. After executing the technique, Tai Lung was defeated by the real Dragon Warrior: a panda he had laughed at when he met him. [ 1 ]

They would meet again years later in Kung Fu Panda 4, when the Chameleon brought him back from the Spirit Realm using the Staff of Wisdom. Although he was no longer the selfish snow leopard he once was, Tai Lung still saw Po as a fool and scolded him, while imprisoned and powerless, for losing the staff. Even when the panda promised to retrieve it and restore his Kung Fu and that of the other Spirit Warriors, Tai Lung simply replied that he only saw a "broken promise", which hurt Po's feelings. After Po kept his word and defeated the Chameleon, Tai Lung bowed to Po in respect and asked him to send him and the other deceased Kung Fu masters back home. Moments before returning to the Spirit Realm, Tai Lung and Po sincerely bid farewell, as the former promised to "see him on the other side" and addressed his former enemy as the Dragon Warrior, having accepted Po as such. Ironically, this acceptance eventually turned Tai Lung into a Dragon Warrior in his own right and allowed him to achieve inner peace, realizing that his supposed destiny belonged to another.

Oogway

Tai Lung was unaware that while Oogway watched his training, he didn't like what he saw: Master's inordinate pride filled his heart with darkness. When Tai Lung was introduced to Oogway, he was shocked to see Oogway deny him the Dragon Scroll, seemingly without hesitation. This, coupled with Master's silent refusal to defend him, infuriated Tai Lung, who unleashed darkness within him, wreaking havoc on the Valley of Peace before attempting to seize the scroll by force.

After knocking Master aside, Tai Lung attacked Oogway without hesitation, seemingly deeming him inferior, only to find that, with all his prodigious skills, Oogway far surpassed him. Oogway intercepted him and knocked him unconscious with nerve blows in a matter of moments, but did not kill him. Since this incident and after being imprisoned in Chorh-Gom prison by the master, Tai Lung held a deep grudge against Oogway, even going so far as to take his sacred staff from his resting place after learning of his death, using it simply to prove to Master that he had the power to name him the Dragon Warrior and, later, to strangle him, breaking him in the process. Years after his own death, Tai Lung seemed to have overcome his hatred of Oogway, but he still believed that he had been wrong to choose Po as the Dragon Warrior, and the loss of the Staff of Wisdom to the Chameleon only reinforced that belief.
