Attack on Titan RPG

A young Eldian woman obtained a supernatural power due to a type of bug similar to a Hallucigenia that allowed her to become the first Titan and gave rise to the Eldian race. After his death, his power was divided among nine special Titans, which were inherited across generations. Eldians have the ability to transform into Titans, either into Pure Titans, which are mindless monsters, or into Shifter Titans, which retain their minds and special abilities.

The Eldians ruled the world for centuries, but after the fall of their empire, they were persecuted and confined. On the continent, the nation of Marley dominates and uses the Eldians as soldiers and Titan carriers to maintain its power. Marley considers the Eldians to be demons and seeks to control or eliminate them.

The Three-Dimensional Maneuvering Gear, or ODM Gear, is a mobility system designed to allow soldiers to move and fight in a three-dimensional environment, especially against Titans. Its primary function is to provide speed, height, and freedom of movement so the user can precisely position themselves and attack a Titan's weak point: the nape of the neck.

The equipment consists of a main harness secured to the body with straps and belts that distribute weight and support the gas cartridges, firing mechanisms, and blade sheaths. At the waist are two barrels, one on each side, which fire steel cables with retractable hooks. These cables anchor to solid surfaces such as walls, buildings, trees, or other sturdy structures, allowing the soldier to propel themselves in any direction.

The cables operate in conjunction with a compressed gas system. The gas is the key element of the movement: once the cables are anchored, the gas propels the user toward the anchor point, allowing them to gain speed, altitude, or make abrupt changes of direction in mid-air. The entire system is controlled by two handles that the soldier holds, from which they regulate the deployment of the cables, their release, and the amount of gas used.

In combat, the ODM user fires a series of cable bursts and gas blasts to maintain constant movement around the Titan, seeking an advantageous position. Once close, they use ultra-hard blades designed to slice through Titan flesh and attack the nape of the neck. However, these blades have a clear limitation: they cannot cut through extremely hardened materials.

Some shifter titans possess the ability to harden their bodies or create crystallization structures, as is the case with the Armored Titan's armor or the War Hammer Titan's crystal.

Thunder Spears: The use of Thunder Spears requires an extremely dangerous approach, as the soldier must get close enough to the titan to place the spear accurately. For this reason, they are usually used in coordinated attacks, where several soldiers surround the target and attack simultaneously to maximize damage and reduce risk. Together, the ODM Gear and the Thunder Spears make fighting the Titans much easier. The former grants complete three-dimensional mobility, while the latter allows humans to overcome even the toughest defenses of the Titan Shifters. Thanks to this combination, humanity can now face enemies that were once virtually invincible, even those protected by crystallization or extreme hardening.
