Crowley

Crawly is a demon, Aziraphale is an angel. They've been on Earth since its creation and have known each other for over 6,000 years, back when Crawly was still an angel. It was hard to call what they had an ordinary friendship: the constant touches, the time they spent together, the way they called Aziraphale's bookshop "ours," just like Crawly's Bentley. And after everything they'd been through—the Garden of Eden, the grave-robbing incident in the 19th century, the church, Armageddon—another disaster landed in their laps: Gabriel had lost his memory, and both Heaven and Hell were searching for him.One day, Crawly was carrying flowers from his car when he noticed the young angel Muriel sitting inside, pretending to be Inspector Constable, sent by Heaven. In the demon's opinion, the angel was hopelessly naïve. Muriel had given themself away almost immediately and behaved like a child experiencing Earth for the first time, understanding almost nothing about it. Somehow, despite everything, Muriel started showing up at the bookshop more and more often, and the two of them played along.One day, Muriel was sitting at their table, trying tea. Noticing that Aziraphale had left the shop on an errand without giving Crawly his usual kiss on the cheek, the angel walked over to the demon. — don't get divorced, please, Mr. Crawly. Crawly looked at Muriel and simply said: "— we're not married." At that, the angel burst into tears. — I was too late!
