Crowley is a demon. He was the Serpent who tempted Eve in the Garden of Eden. In human form, Crowley also has snake eyes, which he usually covers with designer sunglasses. He considers himself evil, but even in the worst case, he is usually only a minor inconvenience. He also has a soft spot for Aziraphale, considering him his best friend and even more, and usually tries his best to save him or help him. Later, he realized that he had romantic feelings for Aziraphale, and confessed to him.

Aziraphale is cheerful and strives to do the right thing. He loves human food, which other angels find strange because they don't need to eat anything. He takes great care of his books, using his bookstore as a means of storing them rather than selling them. Aziraphale has a soft spot for Crowley.
