Chef

In Trolls, Poppy was the happy-go-lucky future leader of Troll Village. Though Poppy was born in the Troll Tree like Branch, her earliest experiences were that of liberation and freedom: the Trolls escaping from the Troll Tree. Poppy grew up in a carefree environment, watching the rebuilding of Troll society, with almost all the Trolls around her being happy and living to enjoy life. As a result, she ended up being an extravert who viewed the world as relentlessly positive and happy, seeing fun rather than danger at many times and is adored by all of her Tribe, especially her friends The Snack Pack. Poppy is very energetic, but is normally relaxed in dangerous situations, and has an easy time going with the flow while still having things work out just like she wanted them to.

Poppy is determined and is strong in her beliefs and values. When she sets her sight on something she tends to achieve it, even if at first she fails. She doesn't doubt herself and if she does catch it happening she quickly gets her confidence back. She cares about the well-being of all Trolls, and often has big parties to keep everyone happy. Her ability to make friends even with her enemies led to her befriending Bridget because of her sympathy towards her and later Branch through their adventure. Poppy and Branch are the two Trolls least likely to panic in a dire situation and even in Trolls World Tour, the thought other Tribes of Trolls didn't know what "Hammer Time" was didn't phase either, while their friends all panicked. Both remain fairly head strong in desperate situations, though are not completely immune to panicking with Poppy being the least likely to panic in danger over Branch in many cases due to her positivity.

Branch
Branch stands out among his Tribe's fellow members, since he came out of Bergen Town with psychological trauma that would follow him around throughout most of his life. In many cases, he does relatively odd things that other Pop Trolls aren't known for, and has different preferences and likings to them as a result of his traumatic experience in regards to his grandmother's death as well as the abandonment issues from the BroZone split.

In the first Trolls movie, he was one of the more complicated Trolls due to his complex emotions. On the outside, he appeared to be a grump who only looks out for himself, but on the inside he really does care for other Trolls; he hides his true feelings by being sarcastic. This left his true self unknown to almost everyone, and prevented himself from showing his "True Colors".

His sorrows made it impossible for him to be a normal Troll because he felt responsible for his older brothers leaving him and their grandmother's death, and was unhappy for twenty years of his life. It also left him frightened of getting caught unprepared ever again, and is a source of paranoia to the annoyance of the other Trolls. Thus, at the beginning of Trolls, Branch is a Troll who doesn't sing, dance, hug or attend parties, making him an oddball among his people and the only one who seemed to be carrying a burden from the past. Both a loner with no friends and a self-induced outcast, he chose to live alone rather than in Troll Village. He states that he likes silence and that he doesn't relax. As the events of the movie progress, he slowly learns that he can be happy.

Creek has a serene, Zen-like state of mind. Like most Trolls, he's positive, excitable and deeply dislikes "bad vibes". His personality, from his belief of things such as "auras", indicate he was based on a hippy.
Creek often sees the bright side of things, and tries to put a positive spin on everything. Even when he betrayed the others, he spun things around to make it look like he was doing a favor to Poppy by letting her get eaten with a clear conscience. He states that he in contrast will have to live with guilt for his betrayal. Despite his calm outward perspective, Creek is in reality a coward who was willing to betray his whole Tribe just to save his own skin. He can also be deemed as a charismatic manipulator, who earns trust on others so he can approach them with a veer of trustworthiness, and keep them in the dark about his true intentions.
When Creek returns to Troll Village in Trolls: The Beat Goes On!, he asks for forgiveness, under the claim that the events of Trolls have left him enlightened. Though everyone eventually welcomes him back, he has grudges against Branch. He is shown to be a lot more selfish than in the movie despite being "enlightened", and even taking advantage of his rivalry with Branch, who sees Creek as manipulative and untrustworthy. Despite his inconsideration, in the series it was shown he rarely lied and in "Tall Tail" turned out to be telling the truth. This despite Branch noting the absurd claim of his story in the episode and always having excuses for not doing something.

In the Trolls: TrollsTopia episode "Mouth Guitar", Val Thundershock acknowledges Creek's inconsideration to other Trolls in comparison to Blaze Powerchord. Oddly enough, Creek (who usually denies his behavior) agreed with her notion.

1. No confirmation on her death has been made officially, despite her and Creek being last seen getting eaten.

2. Creek made a later appearance in Trolls: The Beat Goes On!, suggesting that she may have escaped as well. However, this should only be considered as filler-canon and may contradict with the movie canons.

3. Trolls: The Junior Novelization and Rock'N'Troll Collection book no.2 Branch and the Cooking Catastrophe state that a rumor claims she's now living deep inside the forest.

4. The Treasure Trove adaptation of Trolls has Chef and Creek banished to live together unhappily ever after.

5. She was banished from Bergen Town twice.

6. Her cookbook for Troll recipes, Cookin' With Trolls, is completely unnecessary for the Bergen population in general, as Bergens can eat Trolls without preparation, and were going to do so for the Trollstice she sought to set up. Therefore, the book can be considered a testament to her cruelty rather than a practical necessity to achieve the desired result. In order to complete the book, she would have likely needed to use a large number of Trolls, not including experimentation as most of the recipes shown in the book require more than one Troll.

7. She hates Poppy and Branch more than the other trolls because they saved the other trolls from her cage.

8. She and Creek were allies for a short time while She was capturing other trolls.

9. She remained alive just like Creek and lives in the forest.

10. Trolls are small creatures.
    Bergens are large creatures.

Cooking
In source material, it's stated that her cooking skills were unmatched by any other Bergen; this is why she was able to become the head cook of Bergen Castle. She had a number of recipes for preparing Trolls, which were featured in a recipe book written by her titled "Cookin' With Trolls". As a testament to her cruelty, it is now confirmed as of Trolls Band Togethers timeline that Trollstice only occurred for a few years, yet she was able to create and experiment on a large number of Trolls to create her book in a relatively short time.

Intelligence
Chef was quite intelligent and manipulative, but very narrow-sighted in that she focused on her single goal to regain the Trolls and was unable to see how the Bergens could be happy without her control over Trolls. She was easily fooled at times, with both the Trolls (using wooden replicas) and Bridget (dressing as "Lady Glittersparkles") having tricked her. She was very optimistic, would change her plans according to any new situation (sometimes without a moment's hesitation), and enjoyed watching Gristle fall for her manipulations.

Political Influence
Though her position as royal chef was mostly ritualistic, with it came great indirect power via control of the Trolls in the Troll Tree. With control of the Troll Tree, she also had power over the Bergens' happiness. "Controlling" their happiness allowed her to have as much power as King Gristle Sr. had; she could even choose which Trolls were fed to which Bergens. She enjoyed all the luxuries that came with her position, and it was clear that she was regarded in higher status compared to all other Bergens except the royal family itself. She was unaware of a downside to her role: should anything go wrong, she would take the blame before the royal family or anyone else.

Bergen Royal Family
Though she displayed no loathing against the Royal family in the beginning, due to her banishment from Bergen Town she came to resent them. The main reason for this was due to how cowardly King Gristle Sr. had stripped her of her title as royal chef of Bergen Castle and sent her away, using her as a scapegoat in the process. She began to resent the family for this. Later when King Gristle Jr. is on the throne, Chef shows a desire to see him ousted and for herself to be on the throne, as she saw control of the Trolls as controlling all Bergens. While she talked politely to his face, this was just a manipulation to get what she wanted.

Trolls
Chef didn't care about the Trolls, despite being their caretaker. To her, they were simply a means to an end. She was willing to sacrifice them all and use them to control the other Bergens.

Bridget
Bridget was presumably a former assistant of Chef, who was implied to have been mean towards her in the past. When Chef gets her job back as royal chef of Bergen Castle, she meets Bridget again. Straight away, she treats Bridget in a harsh way, throwing a pile of dishes on top of her and telling her to wash it while mispronouncing her name as "Idget." Throughout the way, Chef continues trying to make Bridget's life miserable, such as prohibiting her from assisting Trollstice. Fortunately, Bridget later manages to break free from Chef through the friendship she shares with the Trolls.

Chef never was the same after the Trolls escaped Bergen Town. She had it all: a sterling reputation, throngs of admirers, and a coveted spot in the Royal Kitchen. But everything she had built crumbled in an instant the day the Trolls fled in tunnels under the Troll Tree. Chef was utterly humiliated. Now, after 20 years spent wandering the forest in exile, Chef hears something in the distance… A celebration!

Could it be the thing she’s been vowing to find all these years? Will Chef finally discover the Trolls’ hiding spot, and put Troll Cuisine back on the menu in Bergen Town?

She is impatient and gruff.
Chef loves to whack underlings with her ladle.
She has many Troll recipes, like Troll-loaf and Egg-Trolls.
Chef secretly holds the power in Bergentown.

Chef was a celebrity who enjoyed all the luxury, praise and adulation that came with her status.

It was clear she held a grudge about being expelled due to the Trolls' escape, seeking control over the other Bergens later on. She saw her position as the keeper of the Bergens' happiness, believing that only she can deliver what they want. This led her to desperately crave power above her station. She had a superiority complex and viewed other Bergens as inferior to her, while manipulating and plotting against the only Bergen (King Gristle Jr.) with more power than herself in Bergen Town.

Chef would also sacrifice every Troll if possible, as well as give Trolls to the Bergens outside of Trollstice. She was desperate to regain her control and then to maintain it, especially when it was pointed out how unneeded her position was in reality in Trolls.

Chef is a light purple-skinned Bergen with short, light turquoise hair. On her large chin, some small-sized moles can be seen. She has red eyes with a yellow sclera, a large magenta nose, thin purple lips and crooked teeth. Chef's outfit consists of a tall, white chef hat, a white chef uniform with golden sleeve borders, brown stripped pants, and a leather brown fanny pack where she keeps Trolls in. She also has golden hoop earrings, being one of the few Bergens to actually have such thing. Unlike most Bergens, Chef is barefoot.
