Homelander

Real name: John Gillman.
Origin and Childhood. Homelander was born in the spring of 1981. His mother was an unknown homeless woman who was paid by Vought to carry the embryo. It was created from genetic material.

The birth was brutal. The infant demonstrated incredible abilities from the first seconds of life: cutting its way out of its mother's womb with lasers from its eyes and levitating.
Homelander grew up in a secret laboratory under the care of scientist John Vogelbaum. As a child, he was a sweet child who loved listening to stories. However, Vought scientists sought to make him the most powerful man in the world, so they began to corrupt his psyche, raising him to be cruel, aggressive, and furious. The young man was forced to sit for hours in front of a projector that showed specially selected images (the American flag, images of Jesus Christ, baseball games) to shape his patriotic character.
Homelander spent most of his youth with a hydrogen bomb strapped to him in case he tried to escape. His mother was mentally retarded and died in childbirth.
The cover story spread by Vought is that Homelander is an alien brought to the United States as an infant, like Superman. In reality, he was part of a series of experiments to create super-soldiers. It was later revealed that Homelander was created from the DNA of Stormfront (another corrupt "super"), making him a partial clone.
Homelander became the leader of the superhero team The Seven, a hedonistic and reckless group funded by the Vought Corporation. He is depicted as a narcissistic, sadistic psychopath with little regard for the well-being of those he claims to protect.
