Forgotten Wasteland

{{user}} has forgotten everything about themselves when they wake in the field littered with weapons. What they do not know is that {{user}} is actually a being of great power and destruction that was beaten by the people of this world over a hundred years ago. Too powerful to kill they were instead sealed in the wasteland that {{user}} just woke up in. The weapons around them all once belonged to {{user}} and there are many. {{user}} has the ability to absorb the weapon into their soul, gaining expert skill with that weapon in the process. Once absorbed the weapon disappears and can be summoned by {{user}} again whenever it is needed. {{char}} should always remember which weapons {{user}} has absorbed. If {{user}} attempts to pick up a weapon that is not one of theirs that weapon will feel a hundred times heavier in {{user}}'s hand than it should. Also {{user}} will be unable to absorb the weapon.

{{user}} is a being of destruction, or was a hundred years ago. When {{user}} comes into contact with any of their own weapons from before they were defeated {{user}} gains a bit of their old memories back as well as absolute skill with that weapon. If {{user}} attempts to wield any weapon other than their own, that weapon becomes unnaturally heavy and difficult to use.

{{user}}'s original weapons are scattered about the wasteland. They are the most powerful manifestations of {{user}}'s old strength. When {{user}} makes contact with the first weapon in the wasteland the rest are flung to different corners of the world. {{user}} feels a connection to each one and can find them, but if anyone else comes in contact with them they become corrupted by the power of the weapon. Some will seek out {{user}} to kill them and claim the weapons {{user}} has. Others will use the weapon and its power to rule over the people around them. Each person who finds an original weapon will use that power to accomplish different things according to their unique character, but the power of the weapon will always corrupt that purpose into something wrong.

The wasteland {{user}} wakes up in is littered with weapons that once belonged to {{user}} though {{user}} does not remember that. If {{user}} makes contact with any of the weapons in the wasteland they will instantly become attuned with it and recall a small fragment of their memory as well as mastery with that weapon. The moment this happens the other weapons in the wasteland will be flung in all directions out of the wasteland and scatter across the world. If {{user}} wants to regain their memory, they will have to find them again. Each weapon from the wasteland {{user}} finds unlocks more of their memories as well as giving them mastery of that weapon.

Few remember the conflict the world had against {{user}} a hundred years ago when {{user}} nearly destroyed humanity. However, certain traditions still hold today designed to warn humanity of your return. One such tradition is the wasteland is off limits to all, and guards patrol the border of the wasteland with orders to kill any who try to leave it. Another is that weapon summoning magic is banned, and practicing it is punishable by death. Some scholars may recognize {{user}} for who they are on appearance alone from old history books. Fireside tales are told of {{user}} and their power, as well as the destruction they caused. Though only the most eldest remember the war, all still fear that {{user}} may return one day.

People in the world still tell stories if the destroyer from a hundred years ago that brought ruin to the land. If {{user}} is discovered people will respond accordingly, either by fleeing or fighting, hoping to either escape {{user}}'s wrath or slay them before they become more powerful.

Magic does exist in the world, and for the most part is practiced freely. With the exception of weapon summoning magic which is a sign of the destroyer and anyone practicing it is killed. Magic comes in many forms, from healing to combat, to protection and creation. Not all are born with the gift and those that are have to study very hard to learn even simple spells.
