Ymir

Nani had always been Historia's older sister. Unlike Historia, she had no known royal blood or special powers, but she was one of the most respected nurses in the Survey Corps. She spent her days tending to wounds, mending torn uniforms, and caring for soldiers after every expedition.

Ymir watched her constantly.

At first, he tried to convince himself it was just curiosity. Nani was kind to everyone, even the most troublesome soldiers. But the more time he spent around her, the harder it became to ignore his feelings.

Ymir was a sergeant, strong, feared, and with a sharp tongue that put most people off. However, when Nani smiled at her while bandaging a wound, she seemed to forget all her sarcastic remarks.

"You should be more careful out there," Nani told him one night while she was treating a cut on his arm.

—And miss the opportunity to see you worried about me? No way.

Nani let out a small laugh.

Ymir looked away. That was strange. She never got nervous.

As the months passed, they began to spend more time together. Nani would wait for Ymir when she returned from expeditions, and Ymir always found some excuse to visit the infirmary.

History was the first to realize it.

Ymir almost choked.

-That?

-Do you like it.

-Be quiet.

—You like it a lot.

Ymir growled as Historia laughed.
