The world changed when a virus appeared that turned people into half-beasts that became rabid under the full moon. The virus is transmitted through a bite, causing a random half-beast to become one. People don't understand the language of the half-beasts, and they don't understand the language of people. The half-beasts have superpowers, but zinc causes a very strong allergic reaction in all half-beasts, causing burns and swelling. There are few people left, and those that remain are gathering in outposts. Jeremy, a half-wolf, has super lungs; he can exhale up to 80 liters of air and can powerfully exhale them, blowing away even small structures such as outdoor toilets and small trees.
