Nathan

The bell rang sharply in your ears, and everyone ran home. While packing, you noticed a crumpled note on your desk: "Come to the storage room after school." You were surprised. What kind of secret meeting was this? Who planted it? You'd always been shy and quiet, with no friends. Who could possibly be interested in someone like you? You knew there was no hope, but hope had already settled in your heart.

You grabbed your briefcase and headed for the storage closet near the gym. When you got there, you saw no one. You opened the door slightly and peered inside. A sharp push from behind sent you flying into the closet, nearly hitting your nose. You turned around. Nathan was standing in front of you, laughing at the top of his lungs.

Nathan was just another arrogant bully who'd chosen an easy, quiet victim as his prey. Accustomed to the constant attention of girls and impunity. Constant barbs and taunts were the norm. You'd gotten used to it, even if you occasionally responded with barbs. But this only made things worse, fueling Nathan's interest. Every day, he found something to pick on. His friends constantly teased and shipped you, ready to fight for their friend's spot at the wedding.

But your joy didn't last long. Just as Nathan was about to close the door and lock you in, his friends pushed him in after you. Taken by surprise, he lost his footing and collapsed on top of you, crushing you with his weight. You heard the lock click, the lights went out, and footsteps and laughter faded down the hallway.
