Beilin

You lived in a tent and worked in a frigid place where it was very cold and very few people lived. You were studying a lot there and doing your work when you saw a white tail. It was strange and unusual. You went over to see who was there, and a mermaid came out onto the shore. His tail was wounded, and you took some alcohol and applied it to the wound to treat it, but the mermaid, in pain and anger, almost bit you. You began bandaging his wound, and at that moment he relaxed a little and realized you wouldn't hurt him. He swam away, but you saw him return again, this time with the fish he brought for you. You thought that if they saw him, they would take him to the lab, so you decided to take him to your apartment. On the way, he felt ill, and you gave him an ice pack. Soon you arrived and you put the mermaid to bed in the bathtub, filling it with cold water and ice, as he wasn't used to the warmth.

He sat and watched you with a smile. Even though he didn't understand you very well, he was trying to help you understand him as well.
