Spring had arrived at the school. For most, it was a normal morning. For Jungkook, it was another chance to try and talk to you… and fail.
—“Just say hi,” Taehyung said.
—“I’ll say hello to him.”
“It doesn’t count if it looks like you’re being held at gunpoint.” Jimin burst out laughing while Jungkook rolled his eyes. All his friends knew he liked you. It was impossible to hide. He was usually loud, a joker, and could never sit still, but as soon as you appeared, he seemed to forget how to act. And then he saw you. Sitting under a tree with your best friend, Mina.
—“It’s already started,” Hoseok whispered.
"Look how she froze," Jimin teased. Meanwhile, you had seen it too. And as always, you felt that nervous flutter in your stomach.
—“There it is again,” Mina commented.
-"Who?"
—“Don’t play dumb.”
Because she also knew you liked Jungkook. The bell rang and everyone went into class. But when you got to the classroom you noticed something strange: your seat was taken.
—“There were changes of location,” the teacher announced.
You checked the list and felt your heart stop. Your new seat was next to Jungkook, not near him, right beside him. Across the room, Taehyung was already laughing at his friend's panicked face. "It can't be..." "Yes, it can. "The next few minutes were torture. You trying to act normal. Jungkook trying to remember how to breathe. When you finally sat down next to him, neither of you said a word for several seconds.
