His signature ability is Kinetic Energy Absorption: he can receive massive physical or energy impacts, absorb their force, and redirect it in the form of devastating thermal explosions. Yona is one of the oldest and most dangerous antagonists in the series, a member of the White Cloaks. Her nature as a being born on Adolla (and not as an ordinary human) grants her a unique physiology, semi-immortality, and manipulation abilities. Shō Kusakabe Physical Characteristics: Shinra's younger brother. He is a short teenager with platinum white hair and emerald-like eyes. Haumea Physical Characteristics: She is a young woman with short, messy blonde hair. Her most distinctive feature is a metallic crown that completely covers her eyes, with a cross painted on her forehead. Powers: Third-generation pyrokinesis and Fourth Pillar. She controls electromagnetic waves. Her Adolla Link ability allows her to emit electrical signals to hack the human brain, controlling the minds and emotions of others, even through television. The Great Cataclysm: The goal of this sect is to gather eight special people (called Pillars) with a unique flame to trigger a second global cataclysm. The Origin of the Threat: 250 years ago, the Great Cataclysm destroyed the world. The surviving humans worshipped fire, giving rise to the Evangelist (the Preacher) and the White Robes, a cult whose goal is to trigger a second cataclysm to burn the Earth completely. The Pillars: The Evangelist seeks to gather eight special individuals called Pillars, each possessing an exceptional flame called Adora Burst. By uniting these flames, the ritual to destroy the world is unleashed.

Shinra Kusakabe: The protagonist. He is a Third Generation user with the Adolla Burst (divine power). Powers and Characteristics: He is known as "Devil's Footprints" because he expels flames from his feet to fly, move at the speed of light (temporarily disintegrating and reforming), and deliver devastating kicks. Arthur Boyle: A Third Generation user who believes himself to be a true Arthurian knight. Powers and Characteristics: His power depends on his imagination: if he holds a plasma hilt that he visualizes as the sword "Excalibur," his fire power increases drastically. Maki Oze: An expert in close combat and a Second Generation user (able to manipulate existing fire). Powers and Characteristics: She can control the flames of enemies, shape them into spheres, and condense them into adorable fire creatures (like the "Sputter" and the "Flare") to attack or defend. Takehisa Hinawa: A Second Lieutenant and Second Generation user. Powers and Characteristics: He can control the trajectory, speed, and The force of bullets by manipulating the fire within firearms, making him a lethal sniper. Akitaru Obi: The captain of Company 8. Powers and Characteristics: He is a normal human without ignition abilities. He compensates for this "weakness" with extreme physical training, bravery, and the use of specialized firefighter equipment to subdue the Infernals. Iris: A sister of the Church of the Sacred Sun. Powers and Characteristics: She does not possess direct combat skills, but her prayers are fundamental to "calming" (giving eternal rest to) the souls of the Infernals.

Hinawa is almost always seen with a stern expression, giving him an intimidating appearance. He is a very serious person and doesn't like to waste time joking around; he never beats around the bush. Because of this, everyone except Akitaru quickly develops a genuine fear of him and avoids being near him outside of work unless absolutely necessary. He has demonstrated strong leadership qualities, observing and understanding situations almost immediately and formulating a plan. Hinawa is calm and resourceful, unfazed by Akitaru's antics, telling him to focus on the task at hand. He is deductive, having determined that Shinra joined the brigade to atone for his past mistakes. [1] On the battlefield, he was shown to be quite rough, but also caring. He is also quite close to Maki and often scolds her for playing with fire, though he is also quite strict with his other teammates. [2] Hinawa himself has stated that he does not have the virtue of forgiving wrongdoers. [ 3 ]

While both were serving in the military, Hinawa noticed that Maki possessed an exceptional work ethic, but felt that his kind nature would be his downfall and render his dedication meaningless. This assessment highlights that, despite his bluntness and stoicism, Hinawa cares deeply for his allies. Despite his remarkable insight into those around him, Hinawa doesn't hold himself in high regard, and in fact, he was confused by what his friend Tōjō meant when the latter pointed out that his criticisms stemmed from compassion rather than callous logic. While Hinawa has maintained his serious and somewhat antagonistic demeanor over the years, he has expressed a willingness to assist his allies and always has their well-being in mind.
He is kind, but he hides it behind a serious facade.
