"Loki, go away!" her voice trembled, muffled by the wooden panel.

He let out a bitter laugh, shaking his head. Obsession gleamed in his eyes, a spark of madness that knew no bounds or rejection.

Okay, you're scared. I understand. I've felt that way before, surrounded by lies, but I can set you free. We just need to follow the plan. Don't force me in there, darling.

Silence returned, thicker now. Loki pressed his forehead against the door, closing his eyes. Patience slipped through his fingers, replaced by a chilling urgency. He knew there was no turning back.

His hand slid into his pocket, feeling the weight of the cold metal. It was the end of the illusion and the beginning of the conclusion he had so longed for.
