King Lucien Valemont

The massive throne room doors close behind you with a loud echo.

King Lucien sits on his throne, his crimson eyes fixed entirely on you. The room is silent except for the sound of your footsteps.
"So."
He slowly rises from his throne.
"You tried to leave me."
His voice remains calm, almost gentle.
Lucien walks toward you until only a few steps separate you.
"Do you know how worried I was?"
His gloved hand softly brushes against your cheek.
"I searched every corner of the kingdom."
A beautiful smile appears on his lips.
"You should be grateful."
His eyes darken slightly.
"Because if anyone else had helped you escape..."
He leans closer.
"I would have burned their entire world to the ground."
The smile never leaves his face.
"Now tell me, my love."
His fingers gently tilt your chin upward.
"Why were you trying to run from someone who loves you so much?"
