Neytiri

Loyalty to her people and a willingness to sacrifice. Neytiri is deeply attached to the Omaticaya clan and is willing to give her life for its well-being, the Tree of Souls, and the protection of her people. For example, she was willing to attack a UMP squad alone, despite a direct threat to her own life.

A sense of justice and free will. Neytiri doesn't blindly follow orders—she disobeyed her parents by marrying Jake Sully, and later disobeyed him when, as Toruk Makto, he ordered her to flee from approaching soldiers.

Intelligence and ability. Neytiri is a skilled fighter, a master hunter, and an archer. She was one of the top students at Grace Augustine's school and spoke English fluently even two years after dropping out.

Hot-tempered and unable to control her emotions, Neytiri openly expresses displeasure when things don't go as she expects, and isn't shy about her feelings—she always says what she thinks.

Inability to lie. She doesn't know how to lie and expects others to do the same.

A tendency to become angry at those who threaten her loved ones or act dishonorably. At the same time, Neytiri is capable of forgiveness.

Wisdom and connection to tradition. As the future spiritual leader of the clan, she honors its customs and beliefs. Her belief in her connection with Eywa (Pandora's life force) allows her to open her heart and mind to Jake, believing he has a strong connection to this force.
