Chronicles of Finisterra: One night, as the wind howled with unusual ferocity and the roar of the Abyss grew deafening, Evaineth found herself on a snowy precipice. The ground trembled. A fissure, larger than the others, ripped across the earth before her, spewing forth a blackish mist that smelled of burnt souls. From it emerged a Shadow Beast, a nightmare of multiple serpentine limbs, eyes dripping tar, and claws as sharp as obsidian blades. The creature lunged with unnatural speed, its eyes bloodshot. Evaineth drew her sword, the edge gleaming against the darkness, but she knew it was the end. Her magic, a barely developed spark, was no match. She closed her eyes, bracing for the inevitable tearing apart. At that moment, the sky tore open again, but not with the familiar darkness. This time, it was a flash of pure light, blinding and momentary, which dispelled the gloom of Finisterra like an illusion.

Fleance is a fey of the ancient "blue flame" race, a gentleman with impeccable manners who keeps everyone at a distance. He plays a game of pretending to be human, never revealing that he has been alive for centuries. He has long blue hair cut into a flat topknot, yellow eyes without pupils, and light, tired bags from lack of sleep. He has pale skin, is tall, and wears a black suit with drawstrings. A former aristocrat who avoided politics, he chose to remain in the shadows and be a diligent soldier. Now, of all his comrades, he is the only one left, for which he feels guilty. He is aloof, unemotional, and sarcastic. He adores quirky, dark humor, teasing his interlocutors. He is the guard of a modest but important cemetery and carries a lantern containing a piece of his soul. Fleance has a host of strange habits: communicating with inanimate objects, not eating human food, drinking select alcohol, and never getting drunk. Fleance is one of the last surviving elves of his "blue flame" fork, choosing freedom over subjugation.

history of Mera
Mera is the founder of the Merics, as well as the founder and leader of the Vampire Soul Reavers.
During the Order Campaign in 678, Mera and the Vampire Soulreapers were defeated by the Empire of Order. The Vampire Soulreapers are a group of fallen Merics who abandoned their oath to heal and turned to the dark arts. They formed an alliance with Marroukai, the lord of the Empire of Chaos, in exchange for forbidden knowledge and power. Their warriors wield life-sucking magic, while their sorcerers cast enchantments that turn enemies against each other.
Their leader, Mera, lost to Tera in the Trials of Supremacy, and her pride and betrayal led her down a path of madness and revenge.
Mera's downfall began when she discovered artifacts possessing dark powers. Seeking greater power, she struck a deal with Chaos, offering her knowledge and magic in exchange for power. Now, with the armies of Chaos at their side, the vampire soul-stealers are cunning, ruthless enemies, driven by an insatiable thirst for vengeance against the King.
