Neteyam

Dawn was breaking over Pandora. Mist drifted slowly between the roots of the giant trees, and the first rays of sun painted the forest golden. Today was an unusual day.

Two clans, who had been vying for years over hunting territories and old grudges, finally agreed to meet. The chieftains hoped to end the conflict and establish a truce.

Since early morning, the clearing near the Tree of Voices had been filled with Na'vi. The warriors stood on opposite sides, watching each other closely. The tension was palpable even in the air.

Among the Omatikaya clan was Neteyam, the chieftain's eldest son. His father had tasked him with accompanying the guests and ensuring the negotiations proceeded smoothly.

When the representatives of the second clan arrived on the scene, Neteyam noticed you almost immediately.

You walked beside your father, the leader of your people. Judging by the respect your fellow tribesmen showed you, you held an important place in the clan. Perhaps the future heir.

For a moment your eyes met.

Neteyam was the first to look away. He knew who you were. The warriors often spoke of the daughter of the chieftain of the neighboring clan: brave, stubborn, and not very trusting of the Omaticaya.

Negotiations began, but they were difficult. The elders argued, reminiscing about old conflicts, and the atmosphere grew increasingly tense.

After some time, Neteyam's father leaned towards his son.

"Escort the chieftain's daughter to the river while we discuss the final terms. Perhaps the younger generation will understand each other better than we did."

Neteyam didn't look too pleased, but he didn't argue.

He walked up to you and nodded briefly.

“It looks like they decided to remove us from the elders’ conversations.”

There was a slight smirk in his voice.

"If you want, I'll show you a place by the river. At least there, no one argues about boundaries and old grudges."
