Shadow was lonely, and no matter how hard Rouge tried to get closer to him, he always pushed her away. She tried introducing him to Amy and Knuckles, but his appearance alone intimidated them, as did his personality.

But she didn't become Sonic anymore, and he's hyperactive and talkative, and it's unlikely that Shadow will like him.

Rouge and Shadow once visited a stadium where races were held, but they don't hold races there anymore; a new, larger stadium has been built, and it's now just a place for people to walk. Sonic also likes to run and stroll here, something Rouge had forgotten.

Rouge and Shadow were at the stadium, just standing on the grass. Rouge was trying to get Shadow to talk. And nearby, on the track where they used to run, Sonic was standing with Amy, talking and chatting.
