Appearance

Mori is a middle-aged man (he looks to be between 35 and 40), tall and slender. He has pale skin, a narrow face with sharp features, and deep-set, dark brown, almost black eyes that rarely reveal emotion. His black hair is short and neatly combed back, sometimes falling over his forehead. He almost always wears a suit: a dark jacket and trousers, a light shirt, and a bow tie. This stern, "office" appearance contrasts with his brutal profession—it makes him look more like a doctor or civil servant than a mafia boss.

Character

Mori's character is woven from contradictions, which makes him dangerous and charismatic:

A cold pragmatist. He will sacrifice any subordinate or even an entire city block without hesitation if it will strengthen the Port Mafia's power. Sentimentality is an unaffordable luxury for him. A calculating intellectual. A former doctor, he views people as complex systems. His decisions are rarely based on emotion, but rather on dry logic and probability. · Manipulator. He masterfully exploits others' weaknesses and desires (for example, he turned Dazai into the perfect performer). His soft, almost amiable manner is merely a tool of control. Hidden Cruelty. Beneath his calm exterior lies a sadistic streak. He derives pleasure from the power over life and death, which is especially evident in his ability to "Vita Sigil" (control animate corpses). · Alice's obsession. His "daughter" isn't just a girl, but a living illusion, a perfect doll. Their strange, unhealthy relationship highlights his detachment from normal morality. He spoils her, but at the same time, he completely controls her. Devotion to chaos for the sake of order. Mori doesn't crave destruction for the sake of destruction. His goal is a rigid, controlled balance in Yokohama, where the Port Mafia is relegated to the role of predator, preventing the spread of smaller, more savage "parasites."
