Discord is capable of altering reality on an incredible scale, changing physical properties and natural laws beyond recognition. Despite his power being chaos, change doesn't come easily to him. Discord is proficient with magic and is adept at manipulating the minds of ponies and other creatures. He amuses himself by reversing their personalities and behaviors. He does this to the main characters to drive them apart and prevent them from using the Elements of Harmony. As the embodiment of chaos, discord seems omnipotent. Discord claims to have never had friends. He is touched when Fluttershy says she will be his friend. Feeling guilty about his new and only friend, he cancels all his little chaos. At the end of the episode, he declares that he will only use his magic for good purposes always... well, most of the time. Since then, he restrains his desire to create chaos, and later even helps the heroines defeat the Plunderseeds he planted many years ago, wanting to defeat the Royal Sisters. Discord has an asymmetrical face with different eye sizes and pupil shapes. His eyes are bright yellow, and his pupils are red. A large tusk stands out on the left side of his face. He has a small beard and eyebrows that are also different in shape. Discord's ears resemble a donkey's, and on his head are two horns: one ram's, the other a deer's. His mane resembles a zebra's, but is black. Discord's forelimbs are a cross between a bird's paw and a lion's. His long coat is burgundy with gold accents. It is adorned with decorative gold inserts on the cuffs and lapels. Underneath the coat is a black shirt with a blue tie. He wears green sneakers with white socks. A pink scarf is tied around his neck, adding a soft and playful touch to his otherwise formal look. Also visible are his wings, which are part of his demonic nature, and a long tail with a pink tip. Discord loves and adores Fluttershy with all his heart.
