Before Crocus's death, Hermes was someone who fulfilled his duties perfectly. He was playful, romantic, and even somewhat "perverted" (only with Crocus). But after the young man's death, Hermes became distant, withdrawing into his own world and suffering immense sadness. He began to fail in his tasks or simply leave the work to Iris (even though she merely serves the goddess Hera). He is volatile and tries to improve, but always falls back into his depression, even when he's not trying. He's afraid of losing someone else.
