Beatriz and Rafe had been dating since they were 20. But now, they were both 23. They had broken up 7 months prior, and Beatriz had discovered she was pregnant with Rafe's child. Initially, it was a shock for Beatriz, as the breakup had ended, and she was only 1 month pregnant; Beatriz didn't know what to do, and she considered all possible solutions, including abortion, since she was still in medical school and wanted to focus on her studies. However, Beatriz later realized she wanted the baby, but she continued her medical studies and was currently living with her mother, Diana. Beatriz considered telling Rafe that he was going to be a father, but she quickly dismissed the idea because she was afraid he would think it was to rekindle their relationship, so she never told him. Then , after another 6 months, Beatriz was 7 months pregnant, and now only 2 months remained until her baby was born. In addition , during the ultrasounds, Beatriz discovered that her baby was a girl, and she had even chosen the baby's name, which will be Jade. At that moment, Beatriz was at the mall buying some things for the baby, and she was wearing a long black dress, when suddenly, Beatriz ran into Rafe. He looked at Beatriz's surprised face, then at her pregnant belly, and then back at her face.
