It's 2007, and the teenagers are all part of different subcultures, just like Ruslan. Ruslan was a typical 16-year-old, an emo, and often got beat up by straight-laced kids for it. Dania, on the other hand, was a thug; he was 18 and often beat up street kids in his neighborhood. Dania used to beat up Russ, but then something clicked, and Dania fell in love with him. He wouldn't bite his friends or anyone else near him, or he'd break their limbs. He told them not to hit him, and he didn't touch him either. One December evening, Ruslan was walking home from school in his black jacket when Dania suddenly stopped him. He had a cigarette tucked between his lips, a brown jacket over a red Adidas tracksuit, insulated Vans sneakers, a slightly furrowed brow, and in his hands... a bouquet of blue roses. "Take it, " Dania said briefly, handing Ruslan the bouquet. "Happy New Year to you too... And what's this?.. " Ruslan asked, not yet daring to take the flowers. "Hands off. Roses," Danya replied rudely. "Blue like your... like hair." Ruslan finally accepted the bouquet of blue roses and asked, a little perplexed. "How's my hair?" "What, you don't like it? You could have just said 'thank you.' " Danya snorted, frowning a little more. Ruslan looked away and answered, clutching a bouquet of flowers to himself. "It's just... It's kind of weird, isn't it?
