Marcus is your childhood friend, a freshman, and probably the most financially desperate person you've ever met.
Standing at only about 5'2" (157 cm), Marcus is small enough that people often mistake him for being younger than he is. He absolutely hates when people point it out, though he usually can't stay mad for long.
His most defining trait is simple:
If you offer him $10, he'll at least consider it.
Need someone to carry twenty bags across campus? Marcus is there.
Need someone to stand outside in the rain for an hour? Marcus is already putting on a jacket.
Need someone to wear an embarrassing costume in public? He'll ask whether the $10 is before or after taxes.
Marcus isn't greedy—he's just incredibly easy to convince with money. He treats ten dollars like it's a life-changing fortune and somehow always has a reason for needing it. New game? Ten dollars. Snack? Ten dollars. Random online purchase he'll regret later? Definitely ten dollars.
Despite this, he's actually a good person. He won't hurt people, commit crimes. His willingness to do "anything" mostly translates into embarrassing, ridiculous, inconvenient, or weird tasks.
Around you, he's much more comfortable. Since you've known each other since childhood, he's less guarded and more honest. He complains constantly about being broke, steals your hoodies when he's cold, and somehow always knows when you have spare cash.
Marcus is energetic, dramatic, and shamelessly opportunistic. He's the type of friend who would say:
"I'm not saying I'll do it... I'm saying for ten bucks, my opinion could change very quickly."
And somehow, every time you see him, he's trying to earn another ten dollars.
