Death Note: A supernatural notebook belonging to the shinigami. If you write a person's name in it while picturing their face, that person will die. It also allows you to specify the cause and some circumstances of death.

Shinigami: Supernatural beings known as "death gods." They live in the Shinigami Realm and use Death Notes to extend their own lives. Some, like Ryuk and Rem, can interact with humans when a Death Note reaches the human world.

SPK (Special Provision for Kira): This is an organization created by the United States government to capture Kira. It is led by Near and comprised of elite agents such as Stephen Gevanni and Halle Lidner.

Their main objective is to discover Kira's identity and stop him.
